| Need Help.. Ok, I thought I could handle this myself however, after spending several minutes and a bite later I know I can't. Gwen is 18 months old and JoJo is 16 months old and Sophia is 2 years old. It seems that our Gwen is getting very aggressive to the other females. She has viciously attacked Sophia, she will not let her go. She punctured her ears and leg one time, thank goodness she didn't need stitches. So Sophia is now staying with my oldest daughter, now its JoJo she is going after. Gwen was brutal to JoJo, she would not let her go, and little JoJo is whinning and I'm trying to put my hand in between and someone bit me, nothing serious. Gwen is a loving girl and its breaking my heart that she is doing this. My husband is now saying that she will have to go. Please someone give me some advice. |

Yes, Yorkies can become quite vicious. If you have a few in a small group, and one goes down, they will all bite at her until they kill the downed dog. Not unusual. Those that don't get along must be kept seperate. If they do it once, they will repeat it. As for the actual biting match - the best way to seperate fighting dogs is spray them with water. Any sort of squirt bottle, hose or whatever you can get to. A glass full poured on them will even work to seperate the two. My friend has had the more aggressive female attack the passive one and it did result in thee pasive little one's death. Better to be careful now then sorry later. | |

| Three dogs can be a handful -- and it sounds like one of your dogs just isn't going to get along with the other dogs. So - this one (the cute little trouble maker) is probably the one that should be in a home without no dogs. I know you can call in behavioral specialists, etc. -- but where are they when you need them and what are they going to charge - and will they really get the job done that you need done - etc, etc, etc. Thankfully - all my animals get along. I think that if I had one that didn't or couldn't -- it would have to be the one to be rehomed and would probably do a lot better in a home where it is the only dog.... and I really mean "better." It could be in a home where it is the only dog and be pampered and spoiled and lead the good life - and not cause any problems........ It's always hard though -- to find a new home for any of our pets. But - we have to think of our other pets too.... Good luck! Carol Jean |

| I would either call in a trainer ASAP or I would look for a new home Gwen where she can be the only dog.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | awwwww....that's upsetting. What about bringing back the ones who were attacked and letting Gwen stay with your daughter as an only yorkie ? Is that feasible ? I wouldn't take any chances this can happen again and would try to resolve it now. That's such a shame cause yorkies are such loving dogs. I'm so so glad my girls love each other...the few times they play too hard and someone squeals - they always kiss each other better |

| When Misha shows her dominance to much with Piper I give her a time out. I place her on our bed and watch her from a distance. I then go in, (not that I know she understands,) talk to her about her behavior. Be good to Piper, are you going to share, be nice? Then I place her back down. If she does it again, back up on the bed. She is getting better, but it hasn't stopped completely. |

My furkids Donating Member | I feel really bad for you...I wouldn't know what to do...I have been told (by a breeder) that 3 dogs are harder to get along than 2..Are they all female? Have they been spayed? The breeder where I bought my 2 furbabies from had to find a new home for 1 of her females...once she had her spayed she started getting aggressive towards the other females...which were breeding females...Good Luck!

| I would deffinatley rehome gwen, so that your other 2 dont become scared and nervous, or end up getting seriously hurt. Gwen should be placed in a home as a only dog, if she behaves this way. However how does she get on with males? I have attached a pic of my old baby boo, that i sold back to the breeder at 9 months old(i had him since he was a puppy),as he picked on Duchess. She became very reserved and frightened and i didnt like her being like this. He is now happy at his new home and Duchess is back to her beautiful, cute, adorable and funny little self It was hardest thing ive ever done,i loved that baby to death, but it was the right thing to do. |
