Sky High Yorkie Prices$$$ OK. I was bored so I was looking up current prices for Yorkies coming from a Breeder in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on the Internet. I actually had my ex-boyfriend buy my 41st Birthday Present from her........in fact if you have enough patience to actually look through her whole website my Baby's picture is still on it, as if he is still available/For Sale @ $2,950.00, plus an additional $250.00 for shipping and handling. He's listed under the name of "Sir Arthur, Artie" (I kept the same name). If you want to see some outrageous prices for Yorkie's take a look at YORKIEBABIES.COM, just make sure your not eating or drinking anything while you're looking.......you might choke? I'm sorry I can't justify in my mind what would make her Yorkie's that expensive??????

Did you look at the website? I have seen others too, but the only reason I mentioned this one is b/c I have purchased from her before and he was and still is "Stunning" he is 2 1/2 yrs. old and I get alot of compliments on his looks all the time, but I get more compliments on his Personality/Traits. I don't know if that's saying much b/c all Yorkie's are characters that is what makes them such outstanding, impressive Pets! Can you tell I'm a Yorkie Fanatic?

No Teacups? She had told me that he was a "Teacup" and by the way he weighs 9 lbs. when he is on the heavy side and when he is on a Diet he weighs 7 1/2 lbs. when I got him he was 5 lbs., 20 weeks old, never been groomed, worms & an ear infection! After the Initial Vet. visit though he has been as strong as an Ox. She also mentioned that he had a Champion Bloodline and that he was "Breeding Quality", after Registering him w/the AKC., they sent me his Pedigree for 3 Generations and there were NO CHAMPIONS listed Luckily, in her Defense, he is according to the AKC. Standards "Breeding Quality" and understands; English, Filipino & Japanese so he is smart too! Ah, Looks and Brains what more could a Woman want? Too bad he's a Dog, otherwise we would be "Married" by now!

After being on YT for a goodwhile and knowing what I now know, I would have ran in the other direction. The fact that she is pushing the word "teacup" would send redflags up. She also seems to have a LOT of dogs ! Michelle

Not all are available Actually she doesn't have all those Puppies available now, she does not update her website, she just keeps adding to it. So it's on going. My Artie's, picture is still up there from almost 3 yrs. ago so it's quite misleading too! And as I explained earlier her "Teacups" grow to be 9lbs. that's a big jump from 3 1/2 lbs.? Remember I'm the one harping about the term "Teacup", I don't mind a "Standard" size Yorkie, I LOVE HIM even more! I just want to be told the truth.......that's why she claims she is charging so much b/c of their size. And that is my biggest Pet Peeve about the pricing! In fact my females Breeder said Abigail would be about 12 lbs. since she was the "Alpha" in the Litter and the largest born. Her Mom is 12 lbs. and her Dad is 4 lbs. she turned out to be the smallest @ 5 lbs. So that's why I say NO one can predict a Yorkie's weight! Or it's projected worth, you can't really put a price on their Love?

| I've looked at that site many times. I know another site says that they sell teacups but when you read the customer comments someone said that their puppy was already 5 pounds and not finished growing. You'd think for those prices you're actually getting a "teacup". Which according to some sites is under 4 pounds and 8 inches or smaller. I almost wonder if some breeders are lying about their puppies ages to make them seem smaller too.

I saw some of those prices when looking for Venus! I about flipped too. Knew I wanted a girl, but not a 3,000 buck girl! I saw many breeders in Kansas and MO, and really had to wonderd, if they were puppy mills. I finally had to drive only little over an hour to get her in Pace, FL. She had a lot of dogs, but the kennels were clean, and had a/c and heat, although they were outside.
