camping and the bad doggie Gidget was bad camping. This is the first time we went this year and the first day the ranger came and said if she didn't stop barking she would have to go home. She has a very shrill high pitched bark. She also chewed through her 3rd harness. My husband let them out at 4:00 am and forgot to take the harness off and she chewed it off. This wasnt the first time. Max was good as gold as normal. Gidget is so bad sometimes.

Maybe Gidget is spoiled and likes the indoor life. Did you use a tent or have a camper. I haven't been camping in years, but If I did go, I'd have to have the works. Camper, airconditioning, fridg, stove, shower, Camp ground with pool, store, ect. Or maybe a cottage. That's what I call camping.LOL

Gidget is very spoiled. She is not aware of the fact that she is a dog. We have a 30ft motor home that has everything stove, fridge, regular bed, bathroom, shower etc. She has camped and boated before but its been awhile. She thinks she is a princess.

You were fortunate. Apparently the campers nearby complained about the noise my daughter's Yorkie was making & she got a ticket. I don't remember what the fine was but it was over $100. I don't think she will ever take hers camping again. It was his first camping experience and he was 7 or 8 years old. I intend to take Little Bit at Thanksgiving & he will only be about 7 months old so I'm hoping if we start early he will do better. The only time he barks now is for attention. He is not disturbed by birds, squirrels or such so I'm going to give it a try. I think if he was upset & I kept him inside the trailer, he shouldn't even know he is camping.
