YT 5000 Club Member | When your dog had surgery... Did you put anything on them to wear, like a onesie, so they wouldn't lick themselves? I think I read somewhere that someone did this. Did it work out ok? Thanks for any info!!!

| Cover-Ups For Surgery? When Kia was spayed, she had such a small surgical site, with just one stitch, that I did not have to put anything on her to prevent her scratching, licking, etc. It was healed within four days; I don't think she even realized anything had happened! However, I had a cat spayed this winter, and she needed some 'exploratory' work, as she is an extremely in-bred barn cat (from another barn), that my daughter rescued. She had a three to four inch opening, and wanted to bother it constantly. I put a sweater on her for a day or so-it was one of Kia's and fit her beautifully, as they were both seven pounds at the time. (The cat now weighs over twice that!) I have to say, she looks nice in blue... |

| My little guy was neutered yesterday - and he really didn't even try to lick himself much. The couple times he did - I distracted him and he went back to sleep or did something else. Today - he isn't licking at all - and he's running around and playing like nothing has happened. Carol Jean |

| Kizzy had her spay the first of august. She was a little sore acting for a couple of days but didnt lick the incision place and she had about a 3or 4 inch incision, and she did great and her incision has really already cleared up a lot. its not even pink or anything anymore.

| I didn't need anything with mine. I know some people will put onesies on them.
