| Yes he will. Timmy is 6 months old today and at home he doesn't lift his leg up but when I take him somewhere else he does it. I think he is just marking his territory. I just ordered some belly bands for him. |

| Some male dogs never do lift their legs when they pee. My sister had a male yorkie that just squatted when he went.

My furkids Donating Member | Sorry! I have girls but, I think this is normal for a puppy...Although my daughters HUGHE golden retriever(male) still squats when he pee's..she had him fixed as soon as he was old enough and he never got out of the habit..It's kinda funny,,,I'm waiting for him to pee in his eye someday! lol

Its a male diaper....This will be my first time using them but I am in desperate need of them because Timmy is lifting his leg up everywhere we go except here at home. Here is a thread with a pic.... http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...ht=belly+bands[/B] | |

| I would be happy if Oscar never lifted his leg! He doesn't mark around the house, but when he uses his pee pads he tends to lift his leg sometimes rather than squat and misses the pad. When we're out for a walk, he ALWAYS squats. If your sister were to have her pup neutered before he starts lifting his leg, there's a change he may never lift it. BTW, I LOVE the name Cookie!!

| She loves the name Cookie. We have a little 6 month old maltese as well and she says if they have babies she can name him or her, Cookies-n-cream! This is why she is not planning on neutering him until maybe 2 or 3 so they have a chance to have little ones |

| Sounds like Cookie is learning. I have a 5-year-old Bichon who does both. If he's on the grass, he'll just stand and pee. But, if he's near a bush, he'll lift his leg. I'm not sure it matters - does it? Carol Jean |
