| I am new here... I live in Florida. I have been researching and contemplating getting a pup for awhile. I've been nervous because this is all new to me. I have really been a cat person forever. I have 2 / 4yo cats that I love. Anyway, I finally decided to do it and found a wonderful lady with 3 pups for sale near by. This is only the 2nd litter she has had. The pup that I picked is the biggest and seemed more outgoing and sooo sweet. Last week when I went to see him he was five weeks. I took a few pics. Now I am obsessed!!! I found this sight a few days ago and I cant stay off of it!! I feel I have learned so much but now I think I'm really nervous too after reading the majority of the posts in the potty training section.... I have already got his crate and litter box..(I plan on using the pee pads in it). I have got tons of stuff (toys, harnesses, I even ordered that stuffed animal dog thing with the heartbeat ) on order that I'm waiting on.. my hubby is gonna kill me. I want everything to be ready. You will probably see a lot of me in the months ahead. |

| Welcome. Congrats on the new puppy! I have a male and a female, Melvin and Marilynn. Don't worry about the potty training, just be regular with trips out or to the litter box. |

| Welcome to YT......congrats on the new baby. Question: Does the breeder assist in the potty training? The reason I ask is all my pups are potty training to use wee pads by the time they go to their new homes. We use them in the X-pen and they learn to use them by the time they are four or five weeks old. See if the breeder will assist in getting the puppy trained in using wee pads.
