| Just went to the vet J.J finally reached 2 lbs (2.05 to be exact), he's going to be 12 weeks old on Monday. How big is he estimated to weigh? The vet told me around 6-7 lbs. Hard to believe looking at him now... Anyways, I'm mad...and close to tears.. Maybe silly reason but I asked the vet about my puppy discharge from eyes, He has goo and I can't comb it out. He took scissors and went trim-happy. He cut so much my baby doesn't even look like Yorkie anymore! Before I said anything, he cut one side so short some skin shows, just to have it look even I let him do the other side...But every time I look at my boy I'm close to tears.... Just look for yourself . How long do you think it'll take to grow back? I'm sooooo mad.

| I don't blame you I would have been pissed off big time!!! But on the bright side, it will grow back in no time at all, and JJ looks adorable regardless. I honestly can't even tell, maybe it's the pictures but he's absolutely gorgeous and loveable looking. It's normal to have "eye boogers" and sometimes they are gooey. What I do to remove them, every night, I take a flea comb, and put it close to her eye (being very careful) and brush that area and all of the goo gets on the comb.

| Your baby still looks adorable..... But you're right, I would have been so mad at that vet for cutting the hair WITHOUT even asking me!

| He's still adorable. I don't agree with cutting it so short that you see skin but it will grow back. I actually cut Phoebe's about every 2wks. After I 1st cut around her eyes she does look weird the 1st day but you get used to it and before you know it, it'll be back again. I'm sorry you're upset but it will grow back.

| Well, the hair around his eyes were what was causing this discharge from his eyes. I think he looks perfectly adorable with the hair trimmed around his eyes! That is how you are going to have to keep it if you want the discharge to go away. I have to cut the hair around both of my babies' eyes, too. If I don't, the hair starts growing in their eyes and that is why they have discharge. |

| I say he won't get over 5 pounds at the very most. Many cut the hair around the eyes. It will definitely grow back quickly. I, personally, don't cut it and just wait it out until it's long enough and it will lay down on it's own. |

| Aw I still think he's adorable! Sometimes the hair has to be cut when the goo won't come out. Yesterday after I gave Rocky a shower, I combed the goo out (his was really bad) and it all came out. I just gotta maintain it. Make sure once his hair grows back you maintian it every day so the buildup doesn't get as bad anymore. The hair will grow back, and bald spots aren't as icky as gooey spots!

| I can understand your frustrations with the vet for doing this without asking you first but....as others have mentioned, the hair in the eyes is what can lead to irritation and infections. After a couple trips to my vet with Gabby years ago with drainage and infection, getting drops and so forth, I now keep the hair around her eyes trimmed. She's much happier and we have no more infections, just normal tearing from the eyes. As for your baby, he's absolutely ADORABLE!!! Thanks for sharing the pictures

He is so cute, and his hair will grow out quickly, main thing is that you have a healthy little guy there, that is what is important and that your trip to the vet wasn't for an illness Give him a gentle hug for me and puppy kisses from Baby Blessing. Patti I am guessing him to get to weight of between 5 to 6 lbs. |

| AWWW he's still a cutie! Cut hair around the eyes is a good thing. Help keeps the eyes from getting eye boogies. You most likely would've had it cut anyway. |
