| Swimming Yorkies Can your Yorkie swim? I know that most dogs can, when I was growing up, however, I used to have a German Shepard, she could not... We kept trying but she would only go as deep as to run around and splash water. How is it with small dogs - Yorkies? How many of you have ones that love water and can swim?

| Tilly loves to swim just not for long periods of time. She loves water as long as her eyes aren't wet. We would have her swim from hubby to me and she loved it. She was a blast this summer!

| Gus is a good swimmer. He hated the water at first but now I can't even step in the pool without him whimpering to come in with me.

| Ruby loves to swim. Roxy is a little tentative but will swim after her sister with a little coaching but she hates to get her feet wet walking down the road! Haven't tried Charlie yet. |

| Benji loves to go swimming. He is my little sport. He is really fast too and his head never even went under the water. I was very impressed.

| Dylan is the first dog I have had that will go into the lake on his own. My other dogs will swim but only if forced. We found out this last weekend that Dylan loves the lake. He jumps in and takes off all by himself. I was shocked but loved it. I wonder why he hates his bath so much? |

| Well this is Layla's first summer.. and we went to the beach 3 times this summer.. the first she shook when i put her in the water.. but by the last time she was approaching it herself.. she is more scared of the waves as they come up on shore... she also has been swimming in a pool but i dont' think she likes that as much. |
