| skin rash Has anyone's Yorkie had a rash under the front legs (underarm area)? It seems to have spread a little. She itches it and seems less than her ordinary perky self. I called the vet and we have an appt. for tomorrow a.m., but I thought I'd check with all of you experienced Yorkie owners first for some more help. Thanks!!!!

| It may be that the area is not rinsed well enough after shampooing and it is irritating her there.

| My Maltese Misha had this. I put some aveeno on it & it went away. She hasn't had a problem since. |

| Took Sophie to the vet today. The doctor said that the rash could be infected from her itching at the skin, so he gave her an antibiotic (for 14 days) and an anti itch med (for 7 days.) We don't know what may have caused the initial rash, so we are just going to treat this one first and if it comes back or doesn't go away, etc. then we will have to do a skin scraping test and investigate further. I am hoping that it clears up and goes away. She has been wearing her longer sleeved hoodie to keep her from scratching or messing with it at all. Thanks for any well wishes on a quick healing!!!
