| I took Jewels at that age. I think it is good to get them used to a groomer while they are young

| Congratulations and Welcome to YT. The breeder shaved and taped Ollie's ears at 8 weeks. So I'm guessing it will be fine to have them trimmed. |

| I was told to wait till we finished our puppy shots - was that 12 weeks or 16 weeks, not sure 12 weeks I think. Anyway, I called my groomer and she said not to bring them till then and to get a moustach/beard trimmer (got mine at walmart) and shave the ears my self, since I needed to get some hair off before we finished up the shots. It was very easy - and then I had to use the trimmer again, when we got the hairy plugged up poop butt syndrome

| you could try to do it yourself? but get someone to help you by holding the puppy . i have been shaving my dogs ears from the beginning but it can be very nerve racking i worry that when they dont sit still they will lose a ear but all has been ok. |

Peeka Boo I See You! Donating Member | you have to have the bordatella vacc (kennel Cough)first and my vet said it's best to wait untill they have all thier shots before you take them. it's really easy to shave them yourself it just takes some practice.
