| Poor Bella - anyone's Yorkie ever get a bubble of fluids put on their back? Little Bella was doing pretty good Saturday after that yucky Rabies shot. Then last night her cough came back real bad (she had kennel cough a couple weeks ago but it went away) and this time it just didn't stop all night. This morning she starting vomiting. I wasn't sure what it was as she seemed pretty normal yesterday in fact we went to the park to watch my son's soccer game. Well I got worried with the vomiting due to her small size and worried she would get dehydrated. The vet took blood and they are running some tests. They said her lungs are good, gave her the same medicine as before for 14 days and also put a shot of fluids on her back. It's weird it's a big bubble of fluids that will get into her and the Dr said it will keep her from being dehydrated. She is cold from it and shivering now but hopefully by this evening will be OK. She can't vomit anymore now as she can't possibly have anything else in that tiny stomache and she didn't eat this morning. They said they will call tomorrow with the blood results I work a full time job and am very lucky my boss let me bring my laptop home and work from home today - OK well I am typing here so I am not exactly working, but I am in between Yorkietalk posts LOL

| When Eddie was sick my vet also put a shot of fluid into his back. After a few hours the fluid moved to his belly and started to sag. By morning his body had absorbed all of the fluid. After the shot Eddie got much better!! |

| Wow, I've gotta say I've never heard of anything like that but then I've not had a really sick one that needed it. Pretty cool how it works though. Hope she's feeling better real soon!

| novacain bumps Oh I hate that it makes me nervous to hear that type of stuff, my guys have had stuff like that where theres a bump of the fluid under their skin. It's real icky! It's like what happens to your toe when a docter removes an ingrown toe nail and he has to inject the novacain and it leaves a big bump. Ugh if it's that terrible for us imagine what it's like for them. ugh |
