| lexi's vet visit ok so we took lexi to the vet last night me and my b/f for her shots she got 3 of them.. and they took blood, of course i had to run out of the room and run out of the bldg.. i let my b/f stay with her.. couldnt bare it. im such a wus.. anyway she only yelped on the third shot. she did pretty good,, she was shaking the whole time, felt so bad.... she has no fleas, just like a mile allergy.. thank god... i asked the vet about the pimples, she said as long as there is only a few, i shouldnt worry about it...i think it was the food i was feeding her... now she eats merricks thanks to my yter friends.she just said to watch out for her weight, shes alittle porky... she should be around 6 lbs and she 8 lbs... fatty girl...like mommy.. the thing im upset with is that the vet didnt even look into her mouth, ears. why? she should of if its an annual checkup right? my b/f was pissed,,, $ 105.00 dollars for that. should i change vets.?.. i really dont think she is thorough....

| did they check her heart? Some vets are diffent than others.... I think it's very important to get the ears checked... so many symptoms happen with just ears.. .did they take a temp at least? |

| Awwww Lexi, it's ok. Hallie is on a diet too We like to call it being voluptuous around here. IF you don't feel your vet was thorough then I would say absolutely change. My vet looks in their ears and mouth for every visit, not just annual check-ups. You have to do what you think is right for Lexi! |

| I agree that she should have checked ears, teeth, heart, knees, and don’t know what else my vet does. I also have them clip the nails as I am just to timid to do it. I don’t think it would be a bad idea to check other Vets, you may find that you are more comfortable and that they are cheaper. It does sound like a lot of money, though they did do blood work. |

| Oh, I just changed vets because my vet was charging outrageous prices for doing NOTHING! She was charging me $40 for each dog just to run her fingers through their hair and look at their skin, which took all of 2 minutes! I have my first visit with my new vet tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes. But I agree 100%....they need their ears and teeth checked at EVERY vet appointment! If you aren't comfortable with your vet or unhappy with her in any way, then why not change?! I would, then if you don't find one you like better, then go back to the original one. I'm SOOOOO glad Lexi doesn't have fleas and that she is well! That is fantastic news! |

| When I took Maddie for her 3 set of shot last month it cost $70.00 but she also got her rabies, kennel cough, and 3 month supply of flea stuff. He checked her eyes, inside her ears, her teeth, her heart, felt around her body, ck her knees, weighed her, and did blood work to ck on things. She has a hernia that has to be remove in a couple of months. He is great. If she wasnt very friendly I would change for sure. A vet must love there love and has a great love of animals. My vet raises yorkies so they all went crazy over Maddie. I live in Muncie, IN and we have 4 vets here, but I drive to Parker City 20 min. away cause they are so great and prices are alot cheeper too! I'll call them and complain and change vets. Oh, they also did a stool sample. There office calls are only $17.00. |

| I wasn't going to tell my vet that I changed either because I thought that if I went back them they'd be pissed....but when I scheduled an appointment with my NEW vet, they said that they were going to have to call my old vet and get medical records faxed to them. Oh well...I won't be going back to my old vet even if it was the last one in town. My hubby is too pissed at them for ripping us off so many times. I'll drive to another city if I have to There is bound to be a nice vet where you live that you will like so much more than the one you're with now. Don't worry about whether or not your original vet will find out or not. Just don't ever go back there. |

| Gina.. I agree with all the above posts, if your not happy ask around until you find someone that you are comfortable with. They should check her ears, heart etc. whenever you go in for a visit at least they should make you feel like you got your moneys worth.. Gina |

| If your Vet isnt friendly I would change Vets. My Vet talks your ear off. You can barely get a question in he is talking so much.

| Babe I would definitely change vets. Checking ears and teeth (ESPECIALLY TEETH!!) are pretty much mandatory on an annual check-up. She should have done that automatically. And if she isn't friendly (especially around a cutie pie like Lexi), I'd change vets. But I'm glad my Lexi girl is healthy and ready for another year!!
