| Lepto vacc's don't go well with Yorkies. If there actually is no known Lepto in your area I would do it. If there is consult your Vet who knows about Yorkies. Some vacc's can cause problems in some breeds so you need a vet that knows this. |

| Both of my dogs had the lepto shot without any reactions. There were cases of it in our area so the vet said they needed it.

| All four of mine got the shots with lepto. None had any reaction, Polly and Sprout were both around 2lbs when they got them. I read a lot about it and talked to Doc and he recommened they get it in our area.

| Charlie had gotten a lepto shot when he was younger.. I saw it when I was looking over the paperwork I got from his previous owner's vet... Pixie never got it and my vet never recommended it. I asked my vet why the other vet would've given it to Charlie and she said she didn't know. She normally doesn't even mention giving to any dog because adverse reactions from it are too common. |

| Waiting for the second Lepto shot My pup had his first Lepto shot last Saturday, he's scheduled to have the second one in 2 days...I was advised by the vet to have him vaccined as I take him to work evey day, I work as a nanny in Upstate NY where wild animals (raccoons!) are very common. And I want him to go potty outside, there's a big backyard and would have no heart to keep him inside the house the whole time. But I was thinking about it though. Luckily he had no reaction to it, the vet told me to watch him closely throughout the day after the vaccine, I was warned their head might get swollen a little. And in case of vomitting or diarrhea I should bring him immediately back. But he just slept most of the day and got up around 4 pm and wanted to play.So ufffff. I guess the second shot will be similar (I hope).
