| Baby Tumbled Down the Stairs Yesterday. But, don't worry...she's fine!!! I got up to take her out to pee. I started walking down the stairs (my bedroom is on the 2nd floor). All of a sudden she started tumbling!!!!! She did is so gracefully, actually! I freaked out, ran down the steps and started doing an EMT exam on her! She was walking around, didn't yelp when I pressed all over her body, and seemed fine. She was dancing around "saying" come on mommy, I gotta go pee!! So, she is okay, thank GOD! I don't know how or what happened, but I hope it never happens again. (sigh) I wanted to post this because Jiggity Jig just wrote a post regarding her tiny Yorkie getting hit with a calculator on the head, and almost dying. My 10+lb Yorkie tumbles down about 7 or so stairs and is 100% okay. I'll take my Teapot anyday of the week!

| I'm glad she was ok! I remember someone here posting about a trip down the stairs causing a lot of trouble for their baby, and so I'm paranoid about it when we're at my mom's house! In addition to my two yorkies, we have a 75 lb lab who's built like a tank, and has a cast iron stomach. We never worry about ANYTHING with her! Talk about a whole other world with the wee ones!

| yay for teapots! I'm glad Baby's ok. D&D send yorkie kisses. My Dougal's such a drama queen if he hurts himself (he's 15lbs) and then once he gets a hug from his mum he's magically ok again.

| OHHHH man I know exactly how you feel. The same thing happened to Louie just last week. I have all hardwood floors in my house now, and Louie gets very excited whenever someone is coming or going from the house, and my daughter and her bf were leaving and Louie who was in the kitchen with me....went flying to run after them and couldnt stop in time and slid onto the stairs and bounced down them. I was soooo scared! He was stunned but okay thank GOD! Another time when he was really small, I happened to go downstairs into the garage to get some Christmas stuff out and the poor little thing must have been peeking over or took one step or something and I heard boom,boom,boom.....I screamed like a mad woman and found him at the bottom of about 5 stairs. I put gates up right after that, but took them down recently thinking it was time and he was old enough to know better.

| Glad That she wasn't smaller, that could have ended in disaster. One time Elle ( my latest puppy) was trying to get up the patio steps and didnt jump as high as she should have and she fell backwards and landed right on her head. Boy, did she scream. I babied her and checked her out .She was ok, but it scared me to death. But glad she was ok.

| Glad to know that Baby is okay. Thanks for sharing Nicole. Sissy fell down our stairs when she was 14 weeks old and under 2 lbs. I'm not sure how it happened and thank God our stairway is only 5 stairs. I didn't see it, just heard what sounded like a squeaky toy getting repeatedly stepped on (which at the time we didn't have!) and then crying. She was a little dazed, but more scared than anything. It could have been disastrous, especially since our stairs are solid oak. But since then, she WILL NOT go down stairs at all. Probably a good thing!!
