| Help! Should I get a second baby? Hi All, I have not posted here in forever. I am considering getting a second Yorkie. I'm wondering what your thoughts are on having two as opposed to one. Will my current baby be jelous? He is just over a year old. Any thoughts will be appreciated. Thanks, Kathy

| I think the minute you are part of YT, it is just second nature to add a second one and perhaps a third . . . . not only are they way too addicting, it is good for them to have a playmate! |

| Oh!!! Two are twice the fun!!! My Rowdy was just over a year old when we got Rexy (four months ago). Yes, Rowdy was jealous at first, but he was never mean to Rexy. Right now, as I type, they are "play wrestling" in the chair beside my computer. They are inseparable. They do play a little "rough" at times, but they love each other and it is great fun to watch them together. There are times when Rowdy still seems a bit jealous of Rexy, but it passes quickly and you can see that they are best buddies. I say you can't go wrong with a second one!

| I just brought my second baby home on Monday - Oscar and her are getting along sooo well and it's only been a couple days. It's more work, but more fun too - watching them play is a total riot. I think Oscar loves having a playmate - and I love having a baby girl to doll up!

| Go for it....... I got my first yorkie and 1 month later got another one..I wouldn't change anything and would do it all over again! I am actually thinking about getting another girl. If you do decide to get another baby take him with you and see how he acts around another baby. Timmy made it easy for me to choose because he picked out his playmate! |

| I would definitely get another one...that's what I want, too! Sigh, hopefully some day...hubby doesn't think we should. He says it would be harder to go places with two and you couldn't take one and not the other. I guess he has a point, but still....

| We have had Joey and I'm really wanting a second. I think he needs a playmate too. But I also worry about him being jealous or too rough. Is there a good age to add another puppy? Thanks Colleen |

It is a little harder when you are alone...but....I bought a doggie stroller so now I can take them everywhere I go if I'm alone. I never leave one behind, if I can't take them both I stay home or leave them both at home... My fiancee takes one if he has to run out and come back home really quick but it breaks my heart to see the other one staring out the window...that makes me really mad So I told him from now on if he cannot take both he doesn't take them at all. | |

| I asked the same question a while ago. I ended up getting another girl who is 4 days older than the one I already had. I love having two! It is more work but it is so worth it. I love them both so much. Yes, they do get jealous, but it's almost like a game and they make me laugh so many times. They are both almost 8 months old now. If you have the time and money, go for it! omega |

| A 2nd pup I got a shih-poo pup when my yorkie was just over a year old. They are best buddies. The puppy sometimes drives Otis crazy but most of the time they really enjoy each other. I think it's a great idea. I am single and it is a little harder to throw them in the car and go. But, I work long hours and I'm so glad they have each other to play with and keep each other company. Takes some guilt off me!!! He wasn't jealous at all. Just make sure you shower them both with love and attention at first. I'm sure it won't be tough! ~Paula ~Otis and Oliver's mom |

| We've been staying with my parents for a visit this last week and Jaxon has been having a blast with my mom's dog (s**tzu / Maltese cross). She's 6 and quite a bit bigger but they have been wrestling and playing non-stop. I think he'll be lonely when we go back home. I keep working on hubbie for a 2nd Yorkie baby but not sure I'll ever convince him.
