| question about biewers versus yorkies My husband and I have recently started looking for another yorkie. There is a woman nearby who has biewers and I was just wondering how they compare to yorkies, ie. personality, size, price, etc. |

| I think biewers are gorgeous. I dont know about their personalities but they are priced higher than yorkies. Sometimes alot higher. I still would love to have one.

| Biewers ARE yorkies. Just a different color. They are not AKC registered. they are registered with a German registry. Since there aren't as many of them around, they could be more expensive, although I've seem a lot of high dollar traditional yorkies also. |

| There is still alot of debate from what I can tell as to what the difference between the two breeds are. There is a sister site to YT...Biewertalk.com where some of our resident experts hang out...you may want to check there. |

| Biewers are pretty much yorkies. Their standard calls for a full tail instead of a docked one. They must have four white legs and white tip in the tail. Their colors in the face must be proportiend. They are beautiful. If have the chance to own one I would jump all over it. By the way they do tend to be bigger than yorkies. |

| There is a lady on here who has Yorkies and a Biewer and her Biewer is the cutest thing I have seen. Here is one of her most recent threads - you might send her a PM and ask her - I am sure she would be able to give you some helpful information. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47558

| I am the proud mom to a Biewer and also to 8 rescued Yorkies. I got "Little Man" from Sue who is a member here on YT and she is very knowledgeable about the breed and a wonderful person. I can tell you from my experience the Biewers personality is much more laid back than a Yorkies but they are Yorkies. http://www.magnoliasmagnificentyorkies.com/ You can also go to the sister site of YT to learn more about these little beauties. http://www.biewertalk.com/ Just as a warning it is very important you do as much research as you can on this new breed and talk to many different people before you purchase a pup.
