| Mommas boy My fiance made a very astute observation the other day......... we have always known that toby is more a "mommy pup" then a "daddy pup"... the other day my mother came over and then left a while later and toby began to cry like he would if i had left him (he NEVER does this when 'daddy' leaves)........ it seems toby is more of a "womans dog" (sure he loves the play time that he and his 'daddy' have but i guess there is something about women that he prefers over males)....... interesting...... do any of youre babies have "gender preferences?" |

| Chachi is definitely a daddy's boy!!! My girl Jewels is the Mamma's girl. Shes my little cuddle bunny. I can't even leave a room without her following me. It seems like for most people the males tend to like the females more. I don't know why its different for us. Chachi is all play though and my husband plays hard with him.

| Stewie loves everyone. It really varies day to day whether he likes my mom or my stepdad more or my brothers, etc. If he feels like playing, he'll be all over my stepdad, dad and boyfriend. If he wants to be cuddled or feels like getting baby-talked to, he is on my mom's lap. He definitely loves me the most (and who could blame him, really?)

| Males—Females, Females—Males I have heard, in theory, that with yorkies and other small dogs, BOY dogs prefer the female significant other, and GIRL dogs prefer the male s.o. I don't know how accurate that really is.....but it's true with us. Sully is MY dog, all the way. He loves his daddy, but when I leave, he's always pacing the house looking for me, and when my husband Eli gets home before I do, and lets Sully out to pee, Sully runs around the yard like WHERE'S MOMMY?? At first this frustrated my husband, that our dog preferred me, but now he's just like, whatever, mommy pampers you, I understand. LOL!

YT Addict | Just a thought.... My parents have owned Golden Retrievers for years. We have noticed this with most of our dogs. They seem to just prefer one sex to another. After thinking about it for a while I thought maybe it had to do with the breeder. The dogs that preferred male companions were raised by male breeders. The dogs that preferred female companions were raised by female breeders. With my Yorkie, Alex, he was raised by a woman and he is definitely a “momma’s boy”. It’s just a thought…. |

| Though Sebastian does love his daddy he is Definately a momma's boy. Everytime he sees me that little tail of his is wagging and he jumps up & down for me to pick him up But I am also the one who brushes his teeth, combs his hair, gives him a bath, feeds him etc... Daddy just plays with him!! |

| My yorkies bond with the ones that feed them and care for them it seems. Whoever spends the most time with them and gives them the most attention, whether it's male or female, is their preference. It makes sense. |

| Hmmmmm.....my silly dogs! Simon has always preferred men, which is ironic since the only men he sees are my dad (maybe twice a year) and my uncle (a few times a year) but he has bonded with my neighbors (who are men). Maybe he likes how they play rough with him. And Hallie is a mama's girl all the way, probably b/c her life was so traumatic before I got her and she was abused by a man. Simon is just waiting for me to find a significant other so he can finally have a man in the house |

| Sandy absolutely loves everyone except for children. Tia loves me, Sandy, other women, and children - but will have NOTHING to do with males - interesting!
