| Safe to eat? I just bought my 7month Napoleon a Smokehouse Kneebone ("Real flavors of beef roasted to perfection"). It says 100% natural chews. He'd eaten a little bit of it. But the whole time I was worried about it being safe or not... I've heard cooked bones splintered inside and can cause internal bleeding. What do you think? Is it safe or not?

I've never heard of smokehouse kneebone, but yes meat bones are not good to give dogs. It can cut them up on the way down, or even their mouth when their chewing on them. I wouldn't give them uncooked either because of the pathogens that could be brewing on them. | |
