What type of products do you use? What is everything you use on your Yorkie(s) for their health, skin and coat? Do you use Shampoo, Conditioner, any type of sprays, oils, detanglers, etc. Do you give your Yorkie(s) vitamins or anything else? If so what brands do you use for your Yorkie(s)? I use Vellus Shampoo and Conditioner. I also use Vellus static stabilizer. I also give her Solid Gold which is a high quality dog food. I am just trying to figure out if there is more I should be doing for her .

? Tangle Out is great from Vellus..good pre-brush spray. I do like giving mine Science TD for teeth..I give 2 or 3 a day as a treat. ALSO Maxi/Guard to clean teeth. A good clean wash is important..I get mine from the vet.

You sound like you are making some really good choices and the more you read the posts on here the more you learn about the products out there and how everyone evaluates them. I use vellus and Ice on Ice for baths and I feed Royal Canin dog food with some natural balance as a training treat. I brush their teeth a couple times a week and I currently don't give any vitamins or supplements.

Denyel, Im glad that you posted this question. I was wondering the same thing. My yorkie is 9 months old and i still need to learn so much. I use Pet Dental toothpaste and i tried to brush her teeth everyday which is not easy cause she tries to brake loose. I was using tearless puppy shampoo, but im getting something better soon, maybe i will try vellus i have heard is very good. I do use detangle spray everytime i brush her hair.

Hair: I use the Chris Christensen System on Adina. Day to Day shampoo and Conditioner and the Ice On Ice spray which is great with tangles and just a before you brush spray which I love (even tried it on myself and it works lol) http://www.chrissystems.com/ Teeth: For her teeth I use the Pet Gel and the Pet Oral Hygiene Solution which you put in their water to help fight bad breath I like them both. http://www.oxyfreshww.com/pet/default.asp Skin: I give her DermCaps 10 (For petite and Miniature Breeds) everyother day. It says on the bottle to give everyday at one pill per 10 lbs. so I give it to her everyother day since she is only 4 1/2 lbs. I get them at my vets but know they are online too. I have seen a great difference after 1 mon. of use. Hope this helps a little Smiles, Myra

I also forgot to add that I use a Dentel Care Liquid that I put in her water daily. I dont think the kind I have works that well. I also give Amber Greenies. I absolutly love them they definitly will kill her bad breath. I also have Hartz toothpaste. I can honestly say I do not use it everyday like I should. YorkieRose- I will have to try Tangle Out. I just love the Vellus products. I will have to talk to my vet and see what he has to offer for Ambers teeth and breath. THanks a bunch! SoCalyorkiLvr- Thank you! I try the best I can to do the best for my baby. She does not deserve anything less than the best Where can I get natural balance? Marie- I feel the same way. I still have alot to learn . I want Amber to have a long healthy and happy life. I just want to make sure I am doing everything that I can do to make sure of that. I know what you are talking about when you said she tries to break loose . Amber does the same thing. It makes it so hard to brush. I love the Vellus products ! I have noticed a huge difference in Ambers hair since I started using it. adinasmommy- I will have to try the Ice On Ice spray. You are the second person that uses it. I am going to ask my vet about the DermCaps 10. I really want to give her somthing for her skin. It seems like that is the only area that I dont do anything about. Thank you so much!

I use Vellus Shampoo and Conditioner Concentrate. The lady I bought it from gave me a sample of the Clarifying Shampoo but I just have not used it yet. Remember to dilute the product before you use it. It is a little more expensive than you would get in a store but since you dilute it it lasts forever. This is the site where I ordered mine from. The last time I checked she was the cheapiest. hth.... http://k-a-s-petsupply.ieasysite.com...24&startpage=1 | |
