| Eating outside at restaurant We had a very bad storm on Saturday morning so had no electric in our house. It was very uncomfortable for all of us so we decided to go out for a late breakfast. There was no way I was going to leave Sean at home in the hot house. A new local restaurant has tables outside so I thought he could just sit on my lap while I ate. (No one else was eating outside at the time.) He didn't really want to sit on my lap but preferred his own chair. We took the cover we use on the back seat for him, put it on a chair, and put the chair between us. He was very happy with that arrangement, especially when I put some treats there for him, too. A couple of times I put his water dish (keep an extra in the car) nearby. The waitress didn't seem to care if he was there and neither did anyone else who walked by. In fact, another group of people sat nearby with their dog, though that one didn't sit on his own chair. I had my camera with me so was sure to get some pics. He kept looking into the restaurant at the people. Even though my husband kept his hand on him to make sure he wouldn't get off/fall off the chair, I don't think he wanted to go anywhere. I just love the tongue pic!! |

| Well, looks like you have a new place to go with Sean! He sure does look like he's having a grand time! We take Jazzie with us to go out dining quite a bit. She love it! Here's a picture of my husband holding Jewel & Jazzie is in her Lookout car seat we put on the spare chair.

| We take Oliver out to breakfast every Sunday morning. There is a street in town that is lined with restaurants that have outdoor lining. They love when people bring their dogs and fill up his water bowl before I even ask. They even give him treats! |

| I'll bet that was enjoyable. I am sure that most "outdoor" cafes aren't as strict about having pets visit. And - (the most important thing is) that you obviously have a well behaved dog. Regardless of where you go - dogs that don't behave very well just aren't very welcome. I thinks it's people who take their well-behaved dogs out that make it easier for everyone else to do it in the future. By the way - your dog looks like he was enjoying "eating out." Carol Jean |

| What a cutie! I love going to cafes with my dogs. Dougal's such a good cafe dog. He just curls up under my seat and keeps an eye out for any "manna falling from heaven" in the form of bacon or other tasty leftovers. Mama can sometimes be a sloppy eater LOL! Best of all, there are many licensed cafes in Welly so I can enjoy a lovely glass of Sauvignon Blanc or lager with my lunch.

| That looks like a lot of fun. I would like to find somewhere like that to take Sophie. She would love it.

I wish my area was more "pet friendly"......we have taken Mojo into several shops and outdoor dining areas in one local "tourist" town. I do wish we lived in a more dog friendly place!

| I would love if my area was more pet friendly. I bet I could get away with taking Maggie to the outside area of Panera. She's very friendly, but I'm nervous I'd be struggling with her a little because she thinks everyone is there to see her. She pants at them and tries to go visit. Besides this she is well behaved. She wouldn't bark or anything. Anyone have any advice as how to stop her from getting so excited when she sees strangers?
