| Odd Grooming Request Yesterday So this absolutely ADORABLE little Yorkie girl comes in yesterday for grooming. I'm discussing with her Daddy exactly what he wants done and his wife had everything written down. Well on the sheet I see to shave the feet like poodle feet......I asked if he was SURE she meant shaved toes and everything like a poodle. He was so cute saying, "I just drop her off!" haha So we called her mama and sure enough that's what she wanted. I've never had anything request that before! I told Andrea I couldn't watch while she did it. It made me want to cry. lol So my question here, have any of you ever done that before to your furbabies? I also noticed she had a picture from yorkietalk printed off to show us how she wanted her baby's face done. So if she's on here I hope I don't offend her! lol I personally would never do that to my baby's feet. but it was the first time we'd ever heard that and it was so odd! So what do you guys think? I'm still bewildered by it!

| exactly, i mean i love it when people know what they want, but i absolutely couldn't stand her feet when they were done! lol Personally, I thought it looked horrible. Like her feet had been shaved for surgery or something. I paint my little girls toenails just fine with hair too! lol Her mom said something about how she thinks she looks dainty or like she's prancing when her feet are like that. I hated it though. It was just the strangest request we've ever had for a yorkie! Although we did have one owner who came in regularly before she moved out of state that had her yorkie's face shaved like a poodle......oh yes....she looked like a bird dog. it was awful

| I don't think I would like that at all. But as long as she loves it, that's what matters. I didn't like it that well when I had a poodle...LOL

| Not for me, either. I just love the hair around their toes. I think their feet look so cute!

| I have never seen one like that, but I could imagine, I don't want to hurt anyone feelings but if you want a poodle cut on a yorkie I don't think it would be to pretty... But I could be wrong....

| those are my thoughts. lol it looked awful, but so long as her momma loved it...it is our job to make them look the way their mommas want. sometimes though, i cringe when we have to cut dogs certain ways! haha

| Right now I have Dixie's whole body, everything but her head shaved. I do like her this way. It's easy to maintain. It's a good summer cut and I can still put her bows and piggie tails in! I think her feet do look dainty shaved. I almost did shave her muzzle because it's always wet from her licking, but I decided not to. I like trying different looks on Dixie. It's fun. I think when Dixie's coat grows out a little I will try keeping the coat on her legs and just shave her feet! I'll post a picture of what Dixie looks like now tomorrow. I'll be sure to take a close-up of her feet for you lilbumbleybees! lol Mind you I am no pro at grooming so no wise cracks about the various lines etc. please. I will get better at it you'll see. |

| shaving them down is okay but I don't think leaving her hair long on her legs and just shaving her feet would be pretty, correct me if thats wrong, I don't have a poodle but if I remember correctly they just shave the foot a little ways up and leave the rest...I don't know, but lets see pics ...I shave my york/maltese down and I will not post pics I am no good at it but he is cool..

| that is where I will agree. I keep my male, Bouncer, in a shorter cut for the summer, but shaved feet? Even on poodles it grosses me out some. lol But do post pics luvmylife1010! I know everyone is curious to see what I'm talking about here. You can even send the feet closeup to my e-mail. hehe

| Mitzi's feet have to be shaved down sometimes bc she chews her paws and gets an ointment on it. With all the hair it's hard to apply and looks gross. I leave the upper hair a little longer and they fall over her feet. Looks nice, though! (Also she wears her booties in public!) |

| Grooming I did the opposite of that, I cut her hair on her body but left her feet fluffy. It looks like she's wearing little ugg boots and is so adorable. |
