| Doggie stairs?? I am worried that my yorkies are gonna hurt themselves by jumping off the bed. Anyone have any doggie stairs? I have seen the ones on the infomerricals and they don't seem like they would be very tall (not to mention that they are incredibly ugly and probably poorly made). Other ones on places like eBay are rather expensive. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

| I got mine from Ebay and they were kinda expensive. I know some people on here found them at Target.

| I saw the ones at target and they seem low--more like the height of a couch or chair. Since my bed is kind of high my dad built mine so they are just the right height. do you know of anyone who can build you some? the stairs and ramps in catalogs are so expensive

| We had ours made and carpeted and you're right...they're expensive, but they are handmade and aren't flimsy and will never topple over with a yorkie flying down them in a hurry. There are four steps. You pay for safety and for handmade products.

| I like the Doggy Steps the best (plastic snap together with a sheepskin covering). The 3 step model is okay for couches (about 12 inches high), but I use the 4 step model for my bed (16" high) and it comes within 5 inches from the top of my bed. All of mine are around 4 pounds they have no problem using them. Of course, you can make your own with just wood and carpeting, but I find these are really heavy and hard to move when you want to vacuum. They are selling them on Ebay and at Walgreens, Target, Walmart, but the 4 step model is harder to find. www.doggysteps.com you can buy just the 4th step under accessories and it comes with a new 4 step cover. | Do you have space enough that you could make a ramp out of a piece of wood covered with a carpet remnant? You could run it along one side of the bed and anchor one end of it to a piece of wood that has been secured to the wall.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | My husband made stairs and then we bought a scamp ramp and that is working out great. The stairs are now in the bedroom windows so she can lay there and look out into the back yard. The ramp is perfect height for beds and it is made of foam so it's not real heavy. http://www.scampramp.com/scamp%20ramp.htm

| To those who have doggie steps, how often does your pups actually use them? I am thinking about breaking down and getting some nice ones from eBay, but I will be upset if I get them and Britney and Brooklyn never use them, haha.
