| Top Knots Well, I was having a problem getting a bow into my little knothead. Someone on this group posted that she used little girl hair clips. I have to tell you that I got some at Walmart, and wow, they work really great. Thanks to whoever recommended this. Now, Sadie can see again. Kate |

| Hi Kate, Im glad u like the little girl clips, i use them on Chelsey most of the time... they are really cute and a lot cheaper then the Yorkiebows Also if ur looking for jewelry for her, u could look at female bracelets, u know the fashionable ones, not real gold or silver that u would get at a jewelry shop, i get Chelsey's jewelry at any local drug store that sells them... ill post some pics tonight to give u an idea of what i mean

| I use the clips too. I bought mine at glamour dogs, because for some reason they seem to stay in Cordelia’s hair better. The lady at Glamour Dog told to put a rubber band first into Cordelias hair then use the clip. I did that at first but it seemed to pull Cordy's hair. So I just used the clip alone without the rubber band and it stayed in her hair all day. My concern was it falling out and her eating it or choking on it. I attached a few pictures of her with the clip.

| I tried using those on Adina but she shakes her head until they fly off, then she runs after them and puts them in her mouth so I stopped using them and went back to rubber bands. It's great that you like them just keep an eye on her to be on the safe side!! |

| Rylee shakes and rolls until they fall off. She really doesn't like looking pretty. I think she'd prefer being one of the boys (my cousins dog and my son and my husband) I'm surrounded by males. I think she wants to fit in with that crowd.

| I haven't taken any pics of her yet. I want to get her groomed before I do that, and I just got her so I am trying to let her adjust. I did, however, take her on a 25 mile ride to Petco, and we got her a harness, and leash to match. She also got a silver diamond (fake, of course,) collar and harness to match. I thought it was too hot to put her in her carrier, so I buckled up the seat belt, and put her leash around it, so she could not jump on me. She slept most of the way, and did just fine. Is this safe, or is there a better way to travel with a Yorkie? Kate QUOTE=Ilovebaby]Can you post some pics and show us how it looks?? Thanks![/QUOTE] |

| Glad that you brought this up. It never dawned on me that she could choke on them. She is a cutie. Kate Quote:

| Thanks for the tip. Now I am worried she could choke on them. How in the world do you keep the rubber bands in? Are they plain rubber bands, or bows? When I got Sadie, she had just a yellow rubber band in her hair. It seems to me that they could choke on the rubber too, if they loosen up. But, I must say that it was hard getting the rubber band off. I cut it. I also learned that if you put your dog in a crate, that they should not have a collar on, as it could get stuck on the sides of the crate. Kate Quote:

| I'm glad there is a post about this. I have a few questions myself. Of course, Maggie will not keep the clips or rubber bands in... grr. However, we keep her with a medium cut (it's kinda like a puppy cut but a little longer.. i don't know what you would classify that as) and her bangs will not part or anything. They drape directly into her face and it looks like she has a shield over her eyes. I'm at a loss of things to do here. I go with the bow when i'm going somewhere andi know she won't have a chance to yank it out.. but otherwise, i feel like i'm always pushing back her bangs to see her face any suggestions?? pleeease? Thanks

| These are the ones I use on Pita, I get them at wal mart I don't always put that many in, I can take the hair that's in her eyes and twist them (not hard) and put one in. |

for Bows - on both my girls - I used the www.petedge.com little tiny bows and when they were little just gathered small amounts of hair to keep it out of their eyes - It gets them used to bows and they stay in great.
