new yorkie, old hound (both females) i am getting a female yorkie puppy next week, and am moving to seattle to live with my husband and our female hound/shepard mix in september (the husband and the hound have already moved). The hound is very laid back and rarely acts aggressively towards other dogs, and i didn't think there would be any problems, but someone told me today that two females will always fight. Has anyone experienced this with thier new yorkie pups? i did try to search for the answer on the forums and couldn't find it, i apologize if it is in there and this question has been asked a million times.

Not in my house I have 6 dogs, 4 girls and two boys. Three of the girls are inside dogs and are all spayed and we don't have any problems. I'm not going to say there aren't disagreements sometimes but no serious fights. Actually we mostly had girls while I was growing up and they never fought. So I don't think it's fair to say that females will always fight, but it is possible for two dogs to just not like each other.

I've always had multiple female dogs, and never had a problem.
