Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Awful Night !!! (keep in mind our air cinditioner is broken) so around 11:00 Pm brownie crying in his cage ( he never ever does that) so i go running over there and let him out and hes panting really bad tounge is curled & flapping his body is HOTTT so he asks to go out so i let him outside and hes acting realllllllllllllly itchy like he has 6,0000 fleas & 100,000 misqito bites i check him hes all red and hes paceing back & forth so i take him in the bath (its about 12:30 now) and wash him with cold water which he was loving i sat him in there for a while i felt his body cool down and he stoped panting so he does his rollies all over the house then i leave him out to sleep with us til about 2:30 he couldnt get comfy he was so itchy (i gave him a bath in his oatmeal shampoo) hes still alittle itchy but better i got no sleep last night i was so worried i guess he got himself over heated scratching i dont know what made him so itchy i was so scared he was gonna pass out oh and im waiting on the air guy to come wooooohoo |

| Misquitos thrive in hot weather. Do you think he got bitten?? You are such a good yorkie mama! I know Brownie really appreciates you taking care of him last night I would have done the same thing |

| Do dogs get a heat rash? Maybe that is what made im so itchy. Hope you get your AC fixed. |

| Sorry the both of you had such a bad night. Yes, it was really muggy here in Rockland also last night. Poor Brownie, nice thinking putting him in the bath to cool him off. Hope your A/C gets going today. Have a good night sleep tonight. |

| I was thinking it may have been heat rash too. That can be really itchy. Has it gone away since the baths? Has he stopped itching? I know your air is broken, but how about a fan? Keep it out of reach of course, but it can help on those really hot nights.

| That was a good move, cooling him off in the bath. Have you given him a summer haircut? My dogs appreciate the shorter hair in the heat - they definitely seem more comfortable. As far as the hot body temp and the itching, I'd give the vet a call and just ask what they think. It's always good to know in case it happens again. Hope your a/c is fixed REAL soon!

| All the heat could of just dried out his skin. just plain dry skin would make me itch too. Glad to hear hes doing ok. Too bad your not here my buddy would of fixed your air at 2 with no after hrs charge. i make him do stuff like that sometimes. hes a good friend. hope you can keep your baby cool. so you both can get some sleep.. |
