| Dog Food - Do You Combine Brands? I was just wondering if you guys feed your dogs 1 brand of dog food or more then 1. I feed my dogs a combo of Blue Buffalo Chicken Flavor and Merrick Turducken. I am thinking of adding Chicken Soup to this combo (because that is what Cali eats) and also for variety. Do you think our babies get bored eating the same hard kibble every day? I do -- that's why I like to use 2 or 3 different brands. PS - I also give them a can Merrick Wingaling wet food once in a while as a treat. But other then that they only eat strictly hard kibble.

| I feed her one kind Maximun lamb n rice, we are able to feed Snickers and Jasmine both the same and since corn is not good for our Dane i stay away from those foods that have corn in them. I figure if it can hurt Jasmine then I am not going to give it to Snickers either. She does just fine on it and has been on it since she was 8 weeks old. |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | i know all the vet's i've worked with like to stick with one quality food, but i've been thinking that maybe if they are introduced to a variety of foods when they are little they will be less prone to upset tummies and diarrhea if they ever get ahold of things like table food, different treats, and an emergency bag of dog food that had to be picked up in a hurry for whatever reason. Dogs who are one one food their whole life sometimes will not eat at the vet's office when they are hospitalized because the food we give them (I/D) is not 'their food'. I think if they are used to getting different things then they won't turn their noses up at something that is given to them when needed AND, i'm hoping, they won't get sick when getting something their not used to.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | hmmm, i've been thinking about this for a while now. I was initially planning on feeding just wellness to Morgan. They i found that Natural Balance is even better. then there is also Royal Canin. I'm thinking now, that i should mix a couple foods together so she gets different tastes, and her stomach is used to different things. As is it now, the breeder feeds a couple different puppy foods, plus rice, plus some other things occasionally so she's pretty used to getting different things. I'd like to keep it this way so i don't get a finiky eater down the road. i'll have to do a little more searching to figure out what i want to mix with the Natual Balance.

| Yea I mix good brands. I mix Innova regular with Innova Evo, and Nutro with chicken and rice for sensitive tummies. She lovvvvvvvvves that mix. Nutro also has stews and gravy that I give her once a week and I mix cottage cheese with her kibble once a week for breakfast. I also give her a scrambled egg once a week. I try to mix it up for her so she doesn't get bored.

| I used to combine Royal Canin with Chicken Soup but they would only eat the Royal Canin so now I just feed them the Royal Canin

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | i don't wanna get into the wet food trend, ugh, its smelly. but natural balance makes those logs of food, so i got a couple samples just in case. hopefully morgan will like the dry all by itself.

Yeah, i grabbed a couple mini rolls as i was waiting on the check out line. Those huge rolls look way too big for morgan to consume before they go bad.
