| Poochie bells- going to be the death of me! Hi all, I bought these poochie bells for Milo several months ago when I got him, thinking this is gonna be great. I am gonna start right away and train my babes to use them! Oh Yeah!! ...Well I got what I wanted. Milo rings those bells sometimes all day long..ahhh ahhh! In -OUt, In -Out, In- Out!!! AHH drives me insane. He is a smart little boy and we are stoked that he can use them but I think he is abusing them. We took it off the door for a few mins but then I felt bad cuz he just looked at me like "what happend, isn't this what you want me to do"? It is true we do want him to use it but ahhhh..anyone else have this prob? I don't think I should just ignore him when he rings the bells..? Mostly just venting.

| Can't say I share your problem but what a smart boy! He just thought he was pleasing you, even if it was driving you crazy

| well took me a while for Kizzy to use them. Now she does sometimes to go out, but if we're out she will beat them to death. But one thing is nerve wrecking to me that she does. This never fails. I go to the bathroom, she comes in or if i shut the door she lays and peeks what she can under the door and it never fails, as soon as my butt hits the seat, she jumps up and runs to that door and bags the bells and runs back to the bathroom door and I say wait just a minute. by time i've peed she is back to the door ringing bells again and to say the least, most of the time soon as I walk out of the bathroom and take her outside, she potties. Its like utoh, she gotta tee tee so I have to go also. But sometimes she does ring them just to go outside, some days she keeps me hopping because sure enough if I dont take her on out she will tee tee right in front of the door. So it has good points and bad points.

| When I first trained Sophie to use the bell I let her go every time she rang it but now that she knows what it is for I just make sure she has done her business and then if she keeps ringing it I tell her she has already peed and she is not going out to stare at the neighbor. LOL! Kizzys mom Sophie does the same thing.

| I think it's just a phase they go through with them. Mine did that, too, so I know exactly how you feel! Anyway, it has all worked out great for us. Mine loves to go outside and prowl around her yard and chase the birds away or just lay in the sun, but she doesn't abuse them anymore. Good luck!

| Been There done That Chance does this also but if I know that he has just been out and done his business I distract him with a toy or something to chew on. If he goes back to the bell I know he really must have to go! Chance always goes to the door and rings the bell when I sit down to eat...that is irritating. |

| If we know that Tinkerbell has just been out and peed, we tell her No and then she will go pout in her bed. |
