| My Yorkie Was Just Attacked!! OMG, I am shaking and crying right now. I just took Rocco out for a walk and I was going by a house that had a "beware of dog" sign. All of a sudden 3 dogs jumped the fence and started attacking him. One got ahold of his neck and just picked him up. The owner came out and grabbed my dog and picked him up. I was so scared that I didn't even do that and I feel horrible. I was afraid the other dogs were going to attack me. I am petrified of big dogs. The guy tried to maintain that they were just playing. I said that NO they weren't playing and the one was biting. All 3 were circling him and growling. He gave me back Rocco and said "bye rocco" like nothing happened!! I can't believe it. Rocco is fine except that dog's spit is all over him. He was yelping and so scared I feel awful. Is there anything I can do so this doesn't happen again??? They live right across the street and now I know the dog can easily jump the fence. I am just so upset that it was such a close call.

| I say call the Police and report the owner ASAP! It's not safe that the dogs can easily jump that fence! Give Rocco hugs and kisses from me & Zoey. |

| I would call the police, If they can jump the fence then they are not properly restrained. Not sure what your citys laws are, but you can find out by calling the police and reporting it. MaryKay ps, I hope your little Rocco is better now. Poor baby, it is not your fault. I would steer clear of walking by that house again for sure! |

| Yikes, I'm so sorry this happened to you. And don't feel bad about not picking him up. You were in shock and stopped dead in your tracks! Thank God he is okay. I don't want you to make enemies with your neighbor, but they shouldn't be able to hop the fence like that! I'm sorry, I don't know what you should do.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | OMG my heart stopped reading that - They jumped the fence ? What's the point of a fence if they can just jump over it ? I agree you need more protection if they're going after dogs walking...that's very scary and he could so easily have been killed - COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS TODAY !! Rocco had an angel on his shoulder...Poor baby. |

I would be so upset and angry too! I am so paranoid about other dogs that when I'm out walking Oscar I always pick him up when I see another dog (even if it's just a schnauzer). That owner is absolutely at fault!

| I would definitely report it before they injure a child or another dog. If they can jump the fence then he needs to build a higher fence Not sure why one would keep three big dogs in a yard adjacent to a sidewalk anyway. Or why anyone would want the liabity of three large vicious dogs. Beware Of Dog signs do not relieve one of their liability. |

| There were 3 dogs and I definitely saw the one hop the fence. Then the other 2 showed up out of nowhere. I think their gate was open. My stomach is so upset right now. And poor Rocco is just hiding in the corner. He is soooo lucky. The owner kept yelling to pick him up and I just froze. Finally I dropped everything and tried to get him but it was chaos. It was terrifying. I need to get the number on the house and then will call the police. We are sooo lucky. God, I always read about this happening but never really thought it would actually happen. Ya know??

| OMG that is terrible. I truly understand you not picking up your puppy as I am terrified of bigger dogs, even if they are up to my knees. Had a bad experience from a chow chasing me once as a kid. And thats why I suppose. But anyway, nobody should have dogs that arent restrained enough for people to be safe even outside their area. if you took yourself onto his property where his dogs were inside the fence, thats different. but for them to jump that fence and attack anyone is a serious problem.

| I am so glad thqt both you and Rocco were unharned in the incident. I know you must be terrified, I know I would be. I would call the police immediately. Because he has a "Beware of Dogs" sign, he is advertising to the world that he has a viscious dog. I would demand that animal control get involved and take appropriate action to protect the public from these killer dogs. |
