| Please HELP! My sweet yorkie turned violent & aggressive! Anyone out there, please help me. I have 3 chihuahuas and my sweet little yorkie. My yorkie is one year old and has been with me since birth. She has been a delight. Sweet, playful, and loving and got along beautifully for the past year with the other dogs. Just recently she turned violent and went after one of my chihuahuas that was sleeping. She did this twice and the last time I could not get her off of the chihuahua and she bit me! She also recently has been growling and snipping at children when I do my shows. She has not behaved like this in the past. She has never been abused or mistreated in any way. She is not teased or taunted prior to this immensely aggressive behavior. I love her tremendously and I do not know what to do. Has anyone experienced this? PLEASE HELP! Distressed over Mitzi, Debi

| well I wish I had some wisdom for you,the only suggestion would be to ask your vet - maybe she is sick or something. I just wanted to say that I hope you can figure out what's going on with her - have you gotten her fixed? Maybe if she's not would that have something to do with it? It might be a behavioral problem or something that maybe the vet can help you with. I just wanted to wish you Good luck! and hope everything turns out ok |

My furkids Donating Member | The breeder I buy from has 5 yorkies, 4 are breeding. When 1 of them comes in heat they have to be separated. I was told that 2 dogs get along better than 3 or more. For the most part her yorkies get along...except when they are in heat...ESPECIALLY if there is a male around...

| i had this problem between zac and his dad scampi, for years they got on great but then one day zac started attacking scampi it went on for months and i kept on trying to work out why then i worked it out, scampi was top dog and was with me at all times was fed first stroked first everything first b4 the others but a few months b4 this happened zac was really ill and for about 2 months i had to have him with me all the time and hand feed him and he thought i had made him top dog and thats why he was attacking scampi, it wasnt till i thought of that that i realized what was going on so i kind of pushed zac to the side and put him back in his place , it was hard but it worked he saw scampi as top dog again and they got on really well again so maybe your little yorkie wants to be top dog or the dog its attacking wants to be top dog.

| thank you to all for the advice Many thanks for the valuable words of advice. I will take her to the vet and address this disturbing issue. I love her so much and I have such a great family of dogs that I was completely shocked at this outrageous behavior. Perhaps it is a jealousy issue. The chihuahua she attacked is the girlfriend of my only male chihuahua. Possibly that is the answer. For now they are separated until I can find the answer. I hope there is a peaceful solution for all of us. I do not want to break up my family. Thank you again to all that gave advice. I really appreciate it. Debi
