| water bottle Bubba and Sissy have one attached to their crate. The only time they bother with it is when they are in the crate but most of the time they just use the water bowl |

| I don't have my yorkie yet, but what a great idea! The yorkie we had growing up always had a wet beard!

| What a great idea! Sometimes I worry Oliver isn't drinking enough. It's just my nature, I guess, cause I love him so much, so i worry about him all the time. But, I'm definitely going to try this. It's so clever. Thanks for the idea!

| Mine have waterbottles all through out the day. During the day time they have both water bottles and water dishes, so they will always have water to drink, they tend to spill their water dishes and this way they will always have water without me worrying about it. I always like for all my dogs to have food and water 24 hours so at night when I put them in their crates they have just the water bottles which I love because they don't get water everywhere and they have taken to the water bottles quite well. Trixie will actually sit there all day just licking at the water bottle, she loves it and I think it is a stress reducer for her because she is a very active dog and a chewer so by having the water bottle she focuses her attention on it rather than chewing everything up. They are great to have, just make sure you clean them out regularly.

| I've heard of this but never tried it. I crate trained all of mine and don't know if I would want them drinking while in their crate. I would be afraid if they got too much water and then had to pee, it would ruin the crate training. Any thoughts? They are all pee pad trained. The only thing I have in their crates are their beds. Of course I don't leave them for more than 4 hours at a time anyway, except for at night. All are in a crate except for one and he sleeps with us.
