| i think if you want AKC puppies you have to breed him to a AKC female, but you can register him with ACA, as well as AKC and breed him with a ACA female and have ACA puppies. I think this is right |

| I have a similar question Tila's parents were registered AKC but when they gave us the papers they told us she was going to be registered ACA What's the difference I mean I wanted her to be AKC, but no luck I guess? |

| If you want to reg AKC then you have to breed AKC to AKC. If you want to reg the pups ACA then you can do that by sending in a AKC pedigree of the Sire to ACA with puppy reg papers and you do not have to reg him ACA but the dam has to be reg ACA. Someone I know has a ACA female and she breed to someone elses AKC male and she did not have to reg him ACA only provide a copy of AKC reg papers and pedigree. The pups were all reg ACA.
