| Will he be my new baby? (I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but I didn't think My Yorkie would be best because he's not really my yorkie..yet???) Okay everyone, I've been looking for a new yorkie friend for quite some time now, and now me and my mom are both out of work/school! We have actually found a few cuties but their prices are a little high for us. We got turned down two times yesterday. One was at the shelter and we asked about Flash a cute poodle mix but we couldn't because we have cats. Second was actually for a yorkie over the phone but the lady said it was against their policy if we have an un-gated pool (which we do, but we wouldn't leave him/her outside unsupervised ) My mom didn't fight though because she was elderly and it was against their policy so gawrsh. Then, my mom called a rescue that we have been looking at for quite some time (website) and they have had a little yorkie there named Marley who has been there for a LONG time. We have been busy and wouldn't have time for him so we didn't adopt him. Yet, he's still there!!! So my mom called the foster woman and she is really nice and Marley has been having a rough time! First he was having his 2 week stay at a home but he chased their cat away so the people said if their cat comes back they don't want Marley but if it doesn't they do. The cat came back. Also, Marley was at the dog park with his foster mom and she noticed he was favoring one of his legs, and it turned out he had to have surgery on a hip but she told us you'd never know he did! He has a little marking problem and needs to be pody trained but we'll probably just give him one of those bands that everyone uses until he's trained. Here's his description on his part of the website: Marley is a 4yr old, 10lb Yorkie. He is friendly, happy and a fun little guy. Marley is great with other dogs, but not cats (he likes to chase them). Marely enjoys going for walks and playing with balls and soft plush toys. Marley does not like riding in the car and tends to get carsick, so he would like to be more of a stay at home kind of guy. Too bad he gets carsick but the drive to where he is and back (if we take him home ) is only about an hour at the most. We're going to visit him on Tuesday and I can't wait! We were supposed to see him today at a Pooch Parade at petco but he has a bit of a cough from a different dog so he can't go. Gosh I can't wait! I hope everything turns out well. I also have a picture of him

| Maybe he is just not used to being in the car. When I got Buddy at 3 1/2 mo. he threw up all over me on the way home and then again each time I took in the car for awhile. Then it stopped! Hopefully he will get use to the motion of riding in the car with time. Short trips at first. Good luck with him, he is a cutie. |
