| I'm lost without my furbaby... So Frodo got really sick last night... I woke up to (gross description coming up - sorry!!) puddles of diarrhea and he kept vomiting. So I took him to the vet and she was worried that he hadn't eaten in a few days and that he was so dehydrated and had a fever. They took xrays and found he had some mineral buildup in his intestines so they are keeping him in the critical care ward all night. The vet called a couple of hours ago and to let me know that after some iv fluids, he's doing well. She said that if all goes well through the night, he can come home tomorrow. But.... I MISS HIM!!!! He's almost 8 months now and I got him in January. This is his first time away from home, sleeping away from mommy's bed. I'm sure I'm doing much worse than he is emotionally, but it's strange not having my furbaby around. I keep looking around for him, and then realize he's not here I need some cheer.

| I can understand how miserable you are right now but just look at it on the bright side . . .he is coming home soon and will be back to normal in no time. Some Yorkies don't ever make it back home . . .so be thankful. Hopefully, this YT will keep you entertained while he is gone Sending hugs and kisses from our babies to your home! |

| I'm so sorry your little guy is sick, but he needs to be where he is right now. That being said, it isn't easy for them to not be with you, especially when they are feeling bad. Sissy had to stay the night when she was spayed and it almost killed me. I swear I was at the office the earliest I could come in the next day to bring her home Glad to hear he is perking up and tomorrow will be here before you know it. You can hug and kiss him all day tomorrow!!!! Yorkie hugs and kisses being sent from Sissy to tide you over.

| Thanks guys... and I will take kisses from Sissy any day! I'm thinking about going to bed early to make the night go faster... hah, yeah right, we'll see how that works out. For the time being, I think I will peruse the YT website and fill the void with pictures of all your gorgeous dogs.

| Sending my prayers and good thoughts your way for Frodo's full and fast recovery. As a new Yorkie mom I'm always worrying about Ziggy getting sick...what does your vet mean by mineral deposits built up in the intestines? |

I'm not quite sure yet. I pick up Frodo this evening, and we'll be talking more about what made him sick, so hopefully I'll have an answer for you tonight!

| Sukj -- I had a loveable dog that was four years old - and I had never spent a day without her and had never slept a night without her. Then - I went on a week's vacation to Mexico and left her with a friend. I thought I was going to die and literally counted the minutes until I got back home. I walked back into the house and she was totally ecstatic to see me - what a wonderful reunion! This lasted for about 10 minutes and then she was off doing her own thing and acting like I had never been gone at all. Things were quickly back to normal for her! So - it is a fact that we suffer much more being away from our pups than they do. But - then - this is probably a good thing! Carol Jean |
