| Help! My sweet little yorkie is a thief!! From the time I brought Topher home he has been a little thief! He grabs everything and anything that is within reach to him (I'm sure he has extendable front 'arms'...I call them his 'go go gadget arms'...lol) and believe me, he can REACH. I swear his front paws are like little hands. He'll take off with it...whatever it may be ie: a book, magazine, tissue, my glasses (yes, he chewed up my glasses!! ), cd's, framed photos. I could go on and on. Is this just a puppy thing? (He's 8 months old now) He's going into obedience training in the fall, but until then, it's like my house is kid proofed all over again! Nothing is on my lower shelves or on my coffee table/end tables as he steals anything lying there. Any suggestions on how to curb him of this habit? |

| Sorry, but I can't help it! And more sorry but I can't help you either. I guess it's a puppy thing and hopefully he'll grow out of it. Obedience class might help though. |

| They can give you a run for your money all right! Yes. It's just a puppy thing. Your puppy will grow out of it...in time. Muffin used to steal anything you laid down next to your chair. She'd even pull down those woven trash baskets, so those had to go, too. We couldn't leave a pen or pencil next to a chair - she'd take it. Funny! Kacee hasn't done that, except for the occasional kleenex. I don't know what to think! But it sure is nice!

| We tought Paddy and Megan to use a catflap and its great, they take themselves off down the garden to the toilet and out to play whenever they want! The only problem is that Paddy thinks its hilarious to take anything (usually all my shoes) down to the bottom of the garden and hide them!! I would move my shoes but to be honest I like the look on his face when I go and fetch them back, cheeky!! |

| Our kids are thieves also!!! I tell my girls (the skin ones) to keep their clothes off the floor but they never do. So as a result when they cannot find something I go looking under my bed. This is where I usually find the chewed up panties and socks piled!!!! |

| Dezi is 6 months and she steals everything next to her, tissue, glasses, magazines, socks and while I fold the laundry, she grabs the laundry and runs underneath her bed. |

| Sadie is a year and a half and still steals stuff. If it is within her reach, she takes it. Especially if I am not paying attention to her (If I am on computer, phone, etc.) She does whatever she can to get my attention on her and away from what I'm doing.

| I think this is typical of puppies...Diamond is just about six months and she carries around my shorts and she will get ahold of glasses and go running with them. It's funny to see her run off with something 2x her size. Forget trying to sort laundry or fold, she tries to grab everything!

| My laundry room is in the my kitchen (you know how apartments are?). Anyway, whenever I do laundry & have everything sorted out, I have to put the baby gate up so that she won't go in there and steal stuff.

| Oh, laundry....I can so relate! I can't count the amount of times he's run through the house with my bra's (usually it's when my 13 year old son's friends are around....wanna see a 13 year old boy blush?! lol) The poor dear. Hubby and I have those oval braided rugs on either side of our bed...they are heavy...Topher walked backwards once, dragging the rug with his teeth out into the livingroom...don't know what he was going to do with it once he got it there...lol. He also pulled a cd case, holding about 60 cd's (probably weighs twice what he does) out into the livingroom....it took him a while to do it, but hey....what in the heck stops a determined yorkie?????? lol |
