| A couple of questions... Paddy had the snip at the end of may and over the past few days he has piled weight on,he was very skinny before and does look better and feel better,no more bony back! Is the weight gain due to the snip or is he just filling out at 10 months? Also what age do they stop growing? |

| The snip--he was neutered. Sorry, I have a girl who is only 8 months,so I can't answer your question. She has filled out a little since her 'op' at 6 months.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | he may just be filling out because he is still young at 10 months, but if you notice that he is continually gaining weight then its time to cut back his food alittle. as small dogs reach that 1 year mark the amount of food they need changes.

| I think all neutered and spayed dogs gain weight; however, my vet tells me this is totally untrue. I'm still not convinced since you are messing with hormones. Since being overweight is a health concern I would stop open feeding and give him the suggested amount. |
