| If you catch him about to go or in the process of going, try clapping your hands once togeher really loud - when I'd catch Oscar, he'd always stop mid-pee and then I'd take him to his pee pad (or wherever in your case) and make him STAY there until he went pee... then dote on him or whatever for going in the right place. Oscar does really well with his pee pad.. and he DOES still have 'accidents' from time to time - one spot on one particular carpet - he 'goes' there when I'm in the bathroom getting ready for work! The only thing I've thought of to solve this problem is to keep him in his ex-pen until I am fullly ready for the day... Try 'catching him in the act' if you can and reprimanding him - see if he catches on. Also, keep notice of when he seems to be doing it... it could relate to something you're doing at the time - like Oscar does with me.

| If he does it in front of you rather then going bonkers on him and possibly phyisically scolding him, in a very disappointed tone tell Him " What did you do?! Bad boy! Potty outside!" Don't yell it at him. and take him outside and gently set him down and say "Potty outside." and Praise him when he does. I've found this way works much better. When we first got Tigger My boyfriend would sometimes tap his bottom(not hard, gently) and tell him no. We got nowhere that went on for a long time. Then we moved and he began getting into everything, potty training was no longer the issue. So my boyfriend spoke with his mom (who also had a yorkie) and she explained what she used to do with them. Only it's a little different for getting into everything the first part comes into play but then instead of taking him outside we tell him "go away! bad dog" and continue to do this for about five minutes. He'll usually slouch out of the room and every minute or so poke his head around the corner and we'll say "go away! bad dog" I know it sounds ridiculous but it really works. He doesnt get into hardly anything anymore. and of course when the five minutes are up we call him to us and give him tons of loving and he apologizes.
