| Rocky peeing on my area rugs help~! I had to remove my little area rugs from in front of the entrance door to my apt. As well as in front of my kitchen sink and in the bathroom, for some reason when ever my Rocky see it he goes straight towards it and pees on it. I am not sure if he thinks that's his wee wee pad or what. And he's really good when it comes to his using his wee wee pad he usually does everything on it. But i want to put my little area rugs out again but am afraid that he will just keep peeing on it. I tell him "NO" but he still does it on the rug if anyone has any advise on how to get him to not pee on the rugs my ears are open. Thanks buddies i can always count on my YT buddies for advice! |

| Pixie would pee on my area rugs for the longest time... I finally got sick of it and took them all away for about a month. Since she doesn't like to go on the linoleum or hardwood, she'd only go on her pad.... Then I'd put them back down one at a time with a couple weeks in between. It was a lot easier to only have to keep an eye on one rug at a time and if she went on it, I'd immediately correct her and put her on the potty pad. Once she figured out she isn't allowed to pee on that rug and we hadn't had any problems for a week or two, I'd put another one back. It took a couple months, but now she doesn't pee on them any more. It's possible she smell the old urine on the rug which would prompt her to go there again. I'd suggest getting some kind of urine remover (I use Nature's Miracle) to completely get rid of any odors. Good luck! |

| Reuger would pee on my throw rugs too. I finally closed the door to the bathrooms and with my other rugs I picked them up and did without. I think that it helped. It wasn't too long after that that he got housetrained. He was about 10 months old when he finally got housetrained.

| I took up all my rugs too. We trained Gracie, Sammie and Sadie Jane to pee pee pads but the bad thing is they think anything made of fabric or textile is fair game. Sammie can stand a few inches away from a sock on the floor and perfectly pee pee on it... Nothing is immune from being used as a potty - towels or clothing, anything.
