Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I would check with your vet on this - you don't want to overdo it or under protect them - The vet can tell you if this is feasible. I know Heartguard cannot be shared - the medicine in the Chewable is injected into it (or however they do it) and you never know WHERE it is - so they cannot be shared - but I don't know about the Frontline. I personally wouldn't mess with it - but your vet can tell you better. |

| Years ago I had a problem with fleas and ticks and my vet gave me a dose of some kind of spot on treatment for my dauchsund. She had puppies and the vet told me to split the dose. I don't remember what they weighed though. I would ask your vet how much they can have at 8 weeks. I know most things are not made for puppies until they are 12 weeks.

| I split my front line between my 2 males. My vet said that was fine because 1 is 2 lbs and the other 1 is 3 lbs. She agreed that one dose might be to strong for the little guys but I never do there shots and Rabies together either I do them seperate because they are to little and I'm not taking any chances. |

| you should ask your vet about the dosage. my vet suggested the "share" method to me. It helps keep the cost down. mine are almost 10 lbs., 3 @ 5 lb each. (slightly over). I buy the 23-44 lb. Frontline Plus. I give the 10# just slightly more. I would ask our vet first tho.

| I have a 3lb poodle and a 5 lb yorkie and my vet said it was fine to split the dose between them, I really hate to overmedicate them if I don't have to. You should probably ask your own vet though for your own peice of mind. I know the breeder I bought the yorkie from said she does ths with her dogs and has never had a problelm
