| Puppy Hair Did your babies go through a phase of "puppy hair" that was ratty and/or coarse? I've heard that lots of puppies (not necessarily only Yorkies) go through a stage where their hair is funky. I've never had that problem with Tia. Her hair was always silky and soft from day one -- She never had bad hair days. What about you guys and your babies?

| My Tiger was that way . .but for the longest time so perhaps it is in the grooming products that made it that way. Now that he uses petsilk that has changed . .but then, he is 8 months old now . . so I guess I will never know |

| My friend has a Yorkie who is 14 weeks old right now. She's been wanting a Yorkie for a whole year and her hubby just got her a darling little girl as an anniversary gift 2 weeks ago! It's so exciting. But anyway, her little diva always seems to look scruffy, no matter how much my friend brushes her hair. Her hair is thick and coarse. But her parents both have silky, very soft coats (I know because I went with her hubby to pick the baby out). So that's why I was wondering if she'd grow out of it. Maybe a trip to the groomers would help. They could get rid of some of that baby fluff and allow the fresh, new hair to grow in.

| Sissy was 13 weeks old when I got her and the hair on her body was pretty coarse and ratty. It wasn't until I she had her first trim at about 5 months that the "ratty" hair was gone. I've been bathing her once a week since I got her, but I don't really think she had many baths prior to that. About 6 weeks ago I change her over to the Buddy Wash and Rinse. I really like the lavender smell and it makes her hair feel really nice.

| Kali is 12 wks old and her hair is very course and ratty. I brush her at least twice a day but within half an hour it looks messy again. It is very thick. |

| Pixie's puppy hair was pretty coarse and ratty and would always get tangled. Her adult hair is just beautiful though. I gave her a trim to get rid of some of the puppy hair (didn't want to cut it all off or it would be too short) and already it's easier to comb all the way through. Couple more months and I should be able to cut it all off.... |

| hair I have a 6 month male , his hair is awful, I have tried different shampoos and conditioners, the conditioner does help a little for one day and then a mess again, and I have combed him twice a day and he is still a mess. I talked to the breeder and she said it would make his hair come in curly. Didn't seem to make sense, I really like the long hair on the yorkies and didn't want to cut it but if cutting will help I would consider doing so. Please let me know if when you cut your babies' hair if it came in wavier or curly. Also I have never owned a Yorkie before, and while my little guy is healthy and happy, he has been scratching his chin alot, there is no rash there or any marks at alll, however he has a good size bald spot between his chin and chest. It is not red it is pretty white skin, is this normal? I know this sounds like a stupid question and it probably isn't normal, but I honestly don't know. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated, I do have a vet apt. scheduled to check this bald spot out, but will feel very foolish if this is normal. God Bless and thank you
