| Will TeeJay ever turn silver? He's a year and 3 months old already and his hair is still jet black (not that I'm complaining) I'm just wondering, if it's been this long and he still has black hair, will it continue to stay that color for the remainder of his life? Thanks guys! |

| He could, mine has,and he just turned 2,,suppose to have adult coat by age 2... but some stay dark. I have noticed some completely white hairs in his back, I don't know what that means..??

Yes I've noticed some completely white hairs in TeeJay's coat too. It looks pretty weird because the rest of his hair is jet black and he has a few bright white hairs poking out. | |

Means it's time for Loreal...you know....cause he's worth it. I love the red/black coloring of some yorkies....very striking.

| He could stay black but you never know. Mine both started changing to silver at 4 months old. I gotta a funny coat story about my Chachi though. His back was silver and he got a skin infection and lost alot of hair on his back. When the hair came back it came back jet black rather than silver. So he is silver with jet black patches on him.

Well other than the dog bite you'll receive for trying that?!?!? I'd say 3 more greys will come back in it's place.

| Both my girls Jazzie (8) and Jewel (3) stayed black. They are from completely different lines. I Love that they stayed black! But with Jazzie I kept on checking and checking and checking wondering when I'm going to start seeing "roots"!

| My pup turned sliver immediately -- he was silver by the age of 4 months. My neighbors dog is 5 years old and still very dark - and, I'm sure he will stay that way. Look at all the photos of Yorkies on YT -- as adults - they are all different colors. Carol Jean |

| *look at kizzys pic for me and tell me what you think * can anyone tell me what color it looks like Kizzy might end up being? From her neck back she is black but but the roots about an inch and a half have turned white/silver. she has this on her head too and behind her ears. But see her face and chest, its all colors. white, black and orangie blonde. I just keep wondering if anyone else has this coloration? here is a pic of her now @ 17 weeks also one of her at 9 weeks. look how she has changed. I hope the white all turns to blonde. anyone got any idea if she'll be more blonde or more silver when she has her final coat?
