| Tia and Her Poor Little Teethies My little Tee Tee Mouse needs to have some teeth pulled! I'm pissed because they should have been pulled when she was spayed at 6 months old. She will turn 1 year old in August. When Codie was neutered, 9 teeth were removed. And when Katie (RIP little angel) was spayed, she also has 9 teeth removed. So how come no teeth were removed when Tia was spayed? Now my poor little girl has to be put under AGAIN within such a short period of time from her last operation. I hate the thought of her having another operation. I'm so worried. I haven't made an appointment yet but I plan on having it done either this month or the first week in July. My hubby is going to visit his parents for 1 week this month. So I'd really like to wait until he comes back home in case (GOD FORBID) there are any complications with the surgery. My poor little princess. Please keep my angel in your thoughts.

| I personally wouldn't have them pulled unless she's a year and a half or older. Some dogs just take a bit longer, just play some tug of war with her and give her lots of hard treats. I would not put her under just for that, because I'm sure they will eventually fall out if you play around with them. I used to play tug of war with coco and then for 3 minutes a day I would grab a wet rag and play with her tooth a bit until it got loose and fell off on it's own. But if you stimulate it a bit it will help.

| I don't know if it was the same in your case but I will say that when Reagan was spayed I asked for them to pull her baby teeth. Really all I saw was a couple right up front that was really wiggly anyway he pulled those without a problem but said that the rest really did need to wait. It was too early to pull the rest. She didn't have any problems with the rest coming out since then but I was just saying that he did say that some teeth just weren't ready to come out, so that may have been the case with yours too. If not I would definately be irritated that she is having to be put under again not to mention you're going to have to pay for her to be put under.

I had a freind who's pup didn't lose all its teeth and she did try to wiggle them and kept him on hard food and played tug with him they just weren't budging so sometimes surgery is all that will work. Oh I hate it for your little girl. I'm sure it won't be any fun for her, or you, to get put under again. Best wishes on it.

| Diesel had at least 1 big tooth all the way in the back that just did not want to fall out. He also had 4 baby teeth in the front as well that needed to fall out. He is 11 months old and just lost that huge tooth in the back and only has 1 baby tooth left in the front to loose. You must have a very little one if there isn't enough room. Hope things go well. | Topher ended up having two pulled when he was being neutered and the vet said that there was one for sure that wouldn't have fallen out on it's own...it's root was almost two inches long! She said that she's never seen a root that long in a baby tooth before and that it would have caused a ton of problems if not pulled. Too bad she has to go through the anaesthetic again, but it will all go well. I'm sure she'll feel much better with more room in her little mouth! |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Cali also has retaine nearly all of her baby teeth. She was spayed during an emergency procedure at a ER hospital and they said they couldn't take her teeth out because she was having trouble maintaining her body temp and they wanted to bring her to. Her regular vet said a couple of weeks ago that the damage was done as far as the placement of her permanent teeth and to wait a bit to put her under. Just the othre day a baby molar came out and she is almost 1
