| No Dogs Allowed! I just have to vent a little. When we got snowed in in Limon, we ordered Pizza Hut for in the hotel for lunch and what we didn't eat we saved for dinner. We didn't want to take our new puppy outside in that horrible blizzard! But come the next morning we were really hungry and wanted to go out to breakfast. We decided a truck stop couldn't be to bad. We ordered and then were told we couldn't have dogs in the restaurant. Starsky was in a puppy carring bag. We left and we understood that people may not want a dog around their food. (I think my puppy was cleaner then some of them truckers!) Anyway we went to the drive throught at Mcdonalds! But today, I took Starsky to Walmart with me in his carrier and because he isn't a dog used for people with disabilities they kicked me out! I want to be able to take Starsky everywhere, but I guess I can't! Do any of you have any stories you would like to share when your dogs aren't allowed!

| I've been kicked out of a few places here with Bailey. Even Home Depot and that's supposed to be a dog friendly business. I totally understand that places of business that have food don't allow dogs in because it's a health hazard. I'd never even dream of taking a dog into a restaurant. But then again, I live in a very un-friendly dog city |

| I haven't been kicked out anywhere with Tia yet. I had her in her bag yesterday at Target and Payless and if anyone noticed they decided not to say anything. One thing I did think was interesting is that my sons' school doesn't even allow Sandy to be in the car when I drop him off. Little do they know that I brought Tia in her bag when I walked him to school the other day. HAHA!

| I believe there was an earlier thread about this. It had some really good information about all dogs being considered working dogs. I found it. http://yorkietalk.com/forums/showthr...&highlight=dog There is really good info on here on ways to take your yorkie everywhere. Hope this works! |

| We got kicked out of wal-mart before, and the grocery store, haha. Blockbuster always is nice when we bring Sully. And also we can usually get away with having him at walmart when we go late at night, at like midnight.

| I got kicked out of WalMart and the funny thing is, that the "greeter" smelled way worse and was more of a hazard than Roxy! |

| I walked into the hairdressers months ago to make an appt. to get my hair done. Schatzie was in her carrier and I was asked to never have her in their establishment again.

| I've been kicked out of Walmart twice. But if I do take Cookie with me I take him in a carrier purse that is screened so he cant pop his head out to see .I simply put the carrier in the shopping cart before I get in the store. This way I zoom by and no one notices that the purse in the cart has a dog in it lol. I've done entire groceries and even ate in the Mcdonald's that they have in the Walmart. I dont let him out until we get to the parking lot. I've taken him to Home Depot,JoAnn Fabrics, Rag Shop. The fabric stores dont mind if I bring him in my regular purse. He is very quiet when I have him in my regular purse. But if he is in the carrier in the cart he sometimes whimpers in a really ,really low sound lol. When they tell me in a really rude way I can tell that they are not just doing it because it's their job. They are rude because they hate dogs period. The ladies at the fabric stores are always really nice and talk to Cookie in a baby voice and come over to pet him. I can totally understand that rules are rules but ....he's not the loud yapping ,ankle biting type. And I can't help it but I take it personal sometimes when people act like jerks! Genie |

| I take mine to Home Depot all the time here we are opening a restaurant so we are there a lot I think they are starting to know my dogs by now. One thing that really made me mad is when a woman said " aww look at those two little dust mops!" I almost told her you couldnt afford dust mops like these lady! I snuck my little girl into wal-mart once though! lol I heard that Dillards is pet friendly, at least the one in our town is. |
