| I quess everyone has their own idea of what a reasonable price is. Mine is $700.00 or less for a standard yorkie. Smaller yorkies at $1200.00 or less.

| I would agree, 700 or less for a standard.

| I would pay up to $1200 but hubby would kill me (if he knew). I gave $800 for Lily and think that was enough for no breeding rights etc..

| My price range was $900 - $1200 when I went looking for Tia. Of course, this is California and very expensive.

| I paid $1600 for Bailey, but that was for show quality, a very nice pedigree and full AKC registration. If I were looking for a 'pet quality' yorkie I wouldn't pay more than $500... |

| There are Yorkies that range from $400 and up. I have looked at Yorkies for sale now for years and their prices are pretty stable. It would also depend on your area. Your puppy will be worth what ever you want to pay for it. It is all in the eye's(or wallet ) of the beholder. There are many Yorkies being sold as pet quality who are absolutely beautiful and just as special as show dogs. Just make sure you are comfortable with the sellers and the atmosphere form where you decide to buy your little one from. Just because they are over $1000 doesn't mean they are coming from the best circumstances.

| Here in the NYC area, average prices are easily $1,500 even for a pet... I am looking, not wanting to spend THAT much... But I could easily spend $700 - $1,000. I just want a healthy Yorkie with a calm temperament. |

| I paid $500 for Fred and he is as "standard" as can be with pedigree, papers and everything! I guess maybe I'm from Texas. In Dallas, I see Yorkies in the paper ranging from $500.00 - $1,200.00. I guess I got lucky! |

| Stewie was 475 - 500 (can't remember which). I got him at 16 weeks with an ear ache, full AKC registration and dry skin (didn't know). He had all of his shots besides rabies.

| Bella was $1900 but that including her flight and she is registered and micrchipped and I do have breeder's rights should I choose to. I don't think there is a right or wrong price, it depends on what part of the country you are getting the dog from and what your own limits are.
