| Fleas Fleas Fleas!!!! hi i am new to this forum but am happy that i found it...sami is just about a year and half and has all the sudden got a major flea problem...well, had a major flea problem (now it seems like it's a skin problem)...we use frontline plus all the time and it has seemed to start helping the problem...however now that the fleas are gone she still will not stop iching and scrating and biting...she has pulled and scratched out a TON of her hair on her back two legs...she has a soar/rash on her upper chest and she will not quit biting at it...is there anything we can give her or put on her to help with the scratching and biting... |

| I think you are going to need a medicated ointment. It may have started out has flea bites, but your baby may have developed allergies as a result or the abrasions are now infected. Call your vet and have him prescribe you something. Of course your vet should see your puppy so they can determine what the condition is to make sure they are giving the right stuff to cure it. |

| My Chachi is allergic to fleas and had a flea on him and had an allergic reaction where he was doing the same thing you describe. My vet had me bomb my house and he said that Chachi could not get on flea on him. We put the flea meds on religiously. After this happened his immune system was down and he got mites. You might have your vet do a skin scrape and check for mites. He then had to be dipped at the vets like 6 times every 10 days. This all happened because he got 1 flea on him
