| topknot hey how old were your babies when you started giving them a topknot? I heard some people say it's best to wait until 10 months... |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Cali was about 6 months before I started keeping one in all day. I would take it out at night but now it's too long to be down. The soone you start the sooner they get use to it.

| yes- I could do a little topknot on Kim at 3 months. I just looked in the baby girl section for hair thingys. And Patti is right, the sooner you start doing it, the easier it will be in the long run. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I used bows attached with rubber bands. I have a total bow addiction. Cali has never worn the same bow twice! I change it every week and redo her topknot daily. A lady on here Connie of Law Dog Bows has nice little scrunchies

| that's where I got my scrunchies I LOVE her bows and such but the scrunchies stretched out which was a pain because Tila doesn't have a lot of hair but it's long at her eyes and bugs her so they stretched out and now don't fit well I'm going to look in the baby section too though do you have any tips for top knots when there isn't a ton of hair? usually i'll only leave it in for a little bit, and I put a bow over it |

| Topher's head hair is slowly growing, so he has what I call his 'bangs' which is the hair just above the eyes which isn't quite long enough yet to get in the topknot. My groomer uses mousse or gel to help hold those hairs in place, so that's what I do. It holds for a while, but not the whole day usually. I went to the pharmacy and bought the tiny clear elastics and they hold the topknot in great. Topher fussed a bit the first couple of times I put it in, but it really didn't take long for him to get comfy with it. Now, every morning, he sits good as gold on the table for me while I brush out his head...he loves it now. He's 7.5 months and I only started doing it daily about 3 weeks ago. |

| I put topknots in my furbabies the day I bring them home to live with me. It is best for them to experience it a young age, you will have less problems if you do this. I use the elastic rubber bands, the ones that don't damage or break hair and come right out, and then I will put a bow on. Sometimes their hair is not long enough to put a bow in so I just put the rubberband in.

| Dennis was about 10 month old before I could get it to stay in as well as have him allow me put one in without to much hassle! He now loves it as well as his cute little shirts. The other day one fell on the floor and he grabbed it and brought it over for me to put it on. He is going to be very disappointed as it is now just to hot for a shirt! |
