Barks Pup Avenue - Stay Away! Hi everyone! I just wanted to let you guys know my issue is still not resolved with this website. I placed an order over 2 months ago, never got it, requested a refund, never heard from her, then I finally got a response from her after I filed a complaint with the website I got her name from. She refunded half my money to my credit card and the other half she said she was mailing me a check two weeks ago but I have yet to receive it. I filed a report with the BBB and found out she has had 7 other complaints in the past year. She emailed me and said she has been having personal problems, and that is why its taking so long, but I'm sorry if she was having personal problems and wasn't going to be able to complete my order she should have refunded me immediately. Just thought I'd warn everyone, I'll keep you posted on whether or not I ever see my money!

That is awful - does she still owe you much? NOT that that is the point I know! If you hadn't reproted her I doubt if you would have had ANY back. Presumably her "personal" problems are financial problems? Just shows how careful we have to be sending for stuff - what does she sell? Her type should never be in business and I can imagine how upset you are. Hope the cheque turns up! Ana xx

She still owes me $112. She sells nice dog stuff like carriers and beds. But she is definitely fraudulent. I have been shopping online for years now and have never come across something like this! Buyer beware!

Wow, that's lame. DISPUTE the charged amount with your credit card bank or issuer! As soon as possible too, because I think they have limits as to how long you can wait for a refund. Give them a call and have it on record that this merchant NEVER shipped your item! Thanks for letting us know.

I have to agree, don't buy anything from this place! Last year I ordered a daisy collar, it took two months of emails and then she finally responded that she was so sorry, but had had a baby and was gone for a while. You would think you would have someone run the business while you were out or at least have the courtesy to inform people about their orders. Very bad businesss.

wow, thanks! Hi Brittie! I came across your posting on barks pup avenue, and I too, have had a bad expeience from them.. my amex took the charge off, and is going after them. Can I ask you what BBB you reported her to? I would like to do the same.. In Tampa? Or online? If there is any info, phone numbers, etc you have, can you pass them along to me? I'm sorry you had that experience, but, in turn, you have helped folks like me to beware and find the truth out.. Now, her internet site is off, emails don't get returned, and I've complained to Yahoo because thats the store she sold her stuff from.. Of course, Yahoo is NEVER any help. Many thanks.. Patricia Dumas NJ you may email me privately if you'd like psdumas@comcast.net NJ

| This is horrible when people have to suffer because of other's dishonesty. I hope the outcome is in your favor psdumas and Brittie123. Also, Brittie123, what is the outcome of this since your orig. post regarding this company? Last you posted is that you were still due $112.00. Did she pay up? Thanks again for the warning!

I'm goin' after this flim flammer! LOL! This is the first time this has ever happened to me online.. so.. i'm pissed! She'll be sorry she dealt with this "big dog, little dog" person here! I'm the proud owner of a Golden Ret., Cairn Terrier, and my daughter is bringing home a Maltese puppy on Saturday.. Of course, these folks seem to take advantage of folks that want pretty little things for their little dogs.. I'll show her! :-)! Thanks again mama! Pat | |

I got the credit card company to do a chargeback too and they ruled in my favor and took the money away from her. I'm so glad we got out money back Pat, sorry you had to go through the same thing as I did!

the barks pup saga continues...and now they are "what a pup wants.com" Beware! Hey everyone.. After I got a chargeback from barks pup.. I got a bunch of emails from this woman detailing her horrific life, accidents, etc.. etc.... Then, she was gonna charge me the 30percent for restocking fee.... but.. now hold on... .... She now writes me and will take the whole thing off (like I care, cause Amex wasn't gonna pay her anyway) because the dam* bed wasn't even sewed together yet! Like there was a bed.... OY! Six weeks down the road and the bed wasn't even made.. My heart almost went out to her.. but, I was mature for once in my life, and didn't believe her. By the way she's changing over to "what a pup wants.com" so.. I'd steer clear of that one! Thanks everyone... Pat

Barks Pup Avenue. Hi from the UK, I am another victim of the Barks Pup Avenue scam and would like to know did any of you pay by Paypal?. I have a phone number for this person it is 813-737-4809 it is a Fax line but this woman answers then puts the phone down her name is Daphne. Why don't all you people with a fax machines swamp her with messages and drown her in paper that way she cannot do this all over again. Bye for now. anna63
