| I Freaked Out - Tick I FREAKED OUT this morning. Sweet Pea was in the bed with me and i saw this dark thing on the inside of her ear. I thought hmmm she just got REALLY shaved for her summer cut, i didn't notice that HUGE scab. well i went to touch it and OMG.. IT WAS A HUGE TICK. i pulled it off it fell on my bed and i grabbed it. now i know this may not be a BIG deal for some of you who live in woody type areas, but we live in surbs in sacramento, calif. i mean i have seen 1 tick my WHOLE life which was on my neck from camping when i was 10. the only place we have been is walking on the greenbelts in my neighborhood. my yorkies take sentinel for fleas but i guess it doesn't work on tick, i just bought advantage, but hadn't opened it. when i called the vet that doesn't work on ticks either, i have to exchange it for something else... NOW I CAN'T STOP ITCHING... |

| Let me tell you, ticks! I have found 4 ticks on MYSELF in the past 2 days. We don't live anywhere in the woodsy area. We checked Tucker completly, no ticks on him anywhere. Rusty has none. I have no idea where they are coming from. It is soooooo icky!

| Ticks are just disgusting! We've had a few on Jaxon and before we started using Advantix they were really hard to pull out. We got a tick remover that is used at medical clinics - works like a charm and doesn't hurt Jaxon.

| EEEEEWWWWW! On Easter we went to my husbands family at "the farm". We walked on a 1/2 mile trail to the lake and I didn't realize that wood ticks were out yet. In the car on the way home I was petting Josie and felt all these lumps, I looked closer and realized they were moving! I was totaly freaked! I hate bugs! My husband was driving so there was nothing he could do. I found a plastic sandwich bag in the car and put it on like a glove and starting plucking! I pulled off 14 ticks! I was so disgusted that I got car sick and by the time we got home, my face was grey! LOL I'm never letting her walk through the woods again! Next time she gets put in her front carrier!

| I've found 3 on Baby this summer! We don't live right by the woods either. And guess where they were? In our backyard! And, you're right, Sentinal doesn't work on ticks. I put Baby on Frontline, but guess what? That doesn't repell them either! It's just supposed to kill them when they bite. Great, hugh?
