| Laser spaying Has anyone had their girl spayed using a laser. Did they heal quicker? Molly is going in next tuesday and we have decided to have the vet use the laser. |

| Reagan was laser spayed. I have nothing to compare it to though. I don't have any other small dogs and even our bloodhound was done using a laser. She recovered well though, really the only thing I noticed on her was just the effects from being knocked out after she got over that you really couldn't tell anything had happened to her. The night we brought her home she snoozed the enitre night but the next day she was back to her old self. The scar/incision what not was very small too and I didn't notice any bruising. Like I said though I haven't had another dog spayed not using the laser so it may not have been any better.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | i've worked for a couple vets and we never used the laser surgery. none of them liked it. The regular surgery is better, causes less bruising, and the vet has better control over what he's doing with a blade. the laser surgery is more expensive and literally burns away skin and tissue. it smells horrible while its happening. |
