| Thank You I just wanted to Thank everyone here for all the GREAT advice my yorkie is now 5 months and I don't think I would have made it if it wasent for everyones help. At first I started the potty/litter trainning for the first 3 months I had a horrible time with the smell. I would change the pads 1-2 times a day and it still was REALLY bad. Someone told me the potty pads make the dogs go more often because they are attracted to the smell and think they are suppose to go anytime they pass the pad. I do believe this because it seemed my dog would pee all the time Then I decided to move to the outdoors. It seemed we didn't go as often and all the smell is gone completely and we are doing pretty well. My question is I know every dog is different but I thought I had read somewhere that the dogs age multiplied by something is the approximate time a dog can go between bathroom breaks has anyone heard this if so how does it go?? |

| It's great to hear when people learn about their pets from others on here. My trip with Bailey from 12 weeks till now, almost 6 months was much more enjoyable due to the helpful words of fellow Yt'ers. I have never heard of the potty time thingy, but am interested in seeing the answers......Happy training .
