| question on belly bands Is Tyke to big 10.5 pds for belly bands? My hubby said no diapers on him teach him like we have other pups. Well I agreed with him becauses I have a doggie door and he goes out alot to pee and poop but only when he wants to. Tyke will go outside most of the time to go but he dribbles alot when he excited, nervious, scared or just playing with the other guys here. So If I do put him in bands will this make him just potty more in it and get lazy about going out side? I have to do something. |

I MAKE BELLYBANDS ...I also use them on my male when he run the main part of the house and he does not go in his. I ask him if he has to potty and he runs for the door. I take the band off and let him out.. it goes back on when he come back inside. Last edited by yorkiegirl2; 05-17-2006 at 05:35 AM. | |

I think belly bands are a good aid in potty training, most dogs dont want to be wet or have pee on them so it will enable him to hold his pee until you let him out for his designated potty time while training him. This is how my friend had to train her male yorkie (she got him when he was 4 years old and he was never even attempted at potty training)
